i need croc advice

fellow DISers I am a big guy 5 10 250, i am getting conflicting info about croc. should I wear crocs in WDW? Is it ok for a guy to wear then and not feel like a big dork? the rest of the family is going to have them(they swear that they are comfy) i love my sneakers and adidas sandels.

I'm getting my DH a pair. I just bought myself a pair too. Wear what ever feels comfy for you!

Yes, guys wear them and you can do so successfully especially if your family is wearing them too. They're not bright banana yellow, are they? Sorry, couldn't resist! Ultimately you need to wear what's comfortable for you. My DS8 wanted nothing to do with them til he tried them on, now he wants a pair!

I like them and will wear them, but I still need my flip flops, too. You can take other shoes with your Crocs in case it's hot/your feet get wet/etc....

But if the whole family is wearing them you might feel more like a dork NOT wearing them! Enjoy your trip!

Not related to WDW, but I just wore my crocs to visit my parents. My mum and dad both tried them on, got straight onto the internet and both ordered a pair! So if my dad can wear them I'm sure you can!!

Go for it and wear the crocs! If you are worried about the look of them you can always try the scutes. They look like regular flip flops and you don't have to worry about anything between your toes. I just bought a pair of scutes and they are so comfy! I also plan on buying a pair of Beach Crocs before our Aug trip. My wife and daughter have Crocs as well.

I felt the same way as you. I tried Teva and Nike sandels, but could not find a pair that fit comfortably. Then I tried on a pair of Islander Crocs. Look much better than regular Crocs and were way more comfortable than the sandels I tried on. I wear them everywhere now. Would not be cought dead without them. I am 6' @ 210lbs and they support my weight without any problems.

My husband is exactly the same measurements as you and he swears by his crocs. He likes some of the other styles available on crocs.com only. He wore them throughout Disney and sometimes I have to beg him to put on more dressy type shoes if we are eating out at a nice restaurant.

Same here. Hubby is 6'5 242 (had gastric by-pass yeah!!) When he first saw them he said NO WAY WILL I EVER WEAR THOSE! Ok, I said just try them on. He did and has never looked back. Took them to Disney and he never took them off. He has no problem wearing them anywhere now! Actually he needs a new pair, may be I'll get him the scutes. You'll be joined by many 'macho men' wearing theirs down there!

I think I may get a pair to try out during the summer while running back and forth for my DD10 soccer games and practices and tournaments( this should be a really fun summer) I want to see if i like them and if they feel good on my feet.

What is a croc? I've never heard this term before? does it look like that pic above?
