Hello! I really hope you can help me. Years ago when my nephews started having children of their own I made each child a cross stitch picture with their names, birth date, weight etc. As all crafty people know, these things take literally months to complete. Now the first child in the next generation has been born and I've been asked to make a cross stitch picture for her. However I haven't made one for years - in fact I bought a kit for my husband's and my 25th wedding anniversary, which is still unmade, and we celebrate our 35th this year!! So what can I make that's quick and easy but will still commemorate the birth? I really don't want to hurt the mum (who's only 20 and a lovely girl) but I really don't want to start this as a tradition for the next generation as I no longer enjoy cross stitch and, if I make one for this baby, I would feel I had to do one for all the babies of my nephews' 5 children for years to come!!!
I'm looking for something that's relatively quick and easy but which can be personalised and preferably hung on a wall. Any ideas would be extremely gratefully received!
