Since this will be our first Disney Cruise, I'm wondering if we should request a table for just the 4 of us or a larger table with other families. I'm worried that my son might be "obnoxious" (he's 3) and bother other diners, and figured we wouldn't have to stress so much about it if we were sitting with just our family...but on the other hand, if the kids like the kids clubs and want to stay there, my DH and I might enjoy the company of others. Was also thinking that dinner might be where we would get a chance to meet new people. What do you think?

The first time we cruised our DD was 4 years old. She was your typical, know it all four year old. We were seated with another couple who also had a 4 year old DD. They managed to keep each busy and out of trouble. I wouldn't worry about it too much. From what I understand, Disney tries to seat you with likekind families. It worked out well for us and the kids. Hope that was helpful :).

Roll the dice and see what sort of assignment you get.

We've done 4 cruises where we've shared a table (and one where we were alone). We much prefered the company (even if some of them were obnoxious). Most have been fun and interesting.

If there are issues after the first night, you can request a reassignment.

Keep in mind too, this is a DISNEY cruise. If you're seated w/another family (as an earlier thread said, they do their best to seat you w/similar families), chances are they've seen plenty of 'obnoxious' 3-year olds, probably their own.LOL!:hyper:

The way I see it, what a great opportunity to meet new folks. If it turns out to be "not so great" (for you or for the other family) just ask to have your seating assignment changed.

We meet 4 lovely couples (on RCCL) at our dining table and we remain in touch with these folks two years after we sailed. We didn't hang out with these folks the whole cruise. Occasionally we saw them about on the ship, but it was nice to meet up at dinner and share our experiences.

Eat with other families. We met a great family who had a two year old (as well as a 6 and 8 y.o.). He was adorable, "tired" at some meals, but it didn't effect us. All the kids were great and gave my DS6 someone to talk to and hang out with for a while. Especially and they are served before you. Don't worry it will be fine.
