I need advice on doing a solo trip with DD's

Thanks everyone!!! :teeth: I can't wait to start planning our girls only trip :cheer2: I feel so much better hearing what a good time everyone has. My oldest DD thinks its COOL to do a girls only trip (although I think she secretly wishes her little sister was staying home too  )

I am considering a solo trip with our three kids next summer. Our church choir may go to Australia next summer and DH's way would be paid, but mine wouldn't. (It woudl cost me about $3500). I'd love to go to Australia, but not especially on a choir tour, and not in July (their winter). Plus we'd have to do something with the kids. So I'm thinking maybe I'll just take the kids to WDW while DH is gone. It would actually be more relaxing to go without DH anyway, because he is a tour till you drop kind of guy.

I am so glad to be reading this

I will be taking my DS 7 and DD 6 in april this will be our first trip alone and I cant wait!::MinnieMo

One more thumbs up for a "girls only" trip. We did this 2 years ago and are doing it again this summer. My girls will be 10 and 12 on this trip. My dh went with us the first time we went to Disney and for some reason he just wasn't impressed. He has absolutely no desire to ever go back. Me and the girls wanted to go back soooo bad, so finally I just asked him what he'd say if I took them and went. He said "I'd tell you to have fun". So thats exactly what we did. I am so looking forward to this next trip. You get to spend so much quality time doing girly things. So, go for it and have a blast!

My DD's who are 10 and 12 and myself are going.......and we leave on MONDAY!!!!!! I am so excited about a trip to the world with just the 2 of them!! My husband is not a Disney fan like we are, and he is in Iraq, we are going for 7 days and its a "Girls Only Disney Trip" and we couldn't be more excited......I can't wait!! I can't wait!! I AM TRYING TO STAY FOCUSED AT WORK But it is really hard when all I can think about is DISNEY!!!!!! princess: princess: princess:

GO! GO! GO! I took my DS and DD on several trips 'cause DH couldn't schedule time off. Those trips were some of the best we have ever taken! In fact, my kids are now 21 and 17 and they still want to take trips without Dad!
In 2000, I took 3 14yo girls on a trip and we had the best time!

Have a good time and don't worry you'll have a ball!
