I'd like to make a reservation for my husband and I... but I want to go somewhere that's well themed. I don't want anything way to expensive... perferrablly $25 or under per person.

I need help finding somewhere new... I'm being dragged back to ones I'm familiar with. Food quality doesn't really matter, we care more about the theming. We're not interested in characters.

Parks or Resorts are fine, here is the list we've already been to:

Biergarten
Rose and Crown
50s Prime Time
Sci-Fi Diner
Rainforest
T-Rex
Crystal Palace
1900 Park Faire

We have upcoming ADRs at the following:
Chefs de France
Whispering Canyon
'Ohana
Boma
Chef Mickey's

Any suggestions/insight welcomed - thanks!

when are you going - after May 1 -- the new restaurant at AKL is opening then. Should be somewhat different than Boma...Sanaa -- here's the link to the menu, looks like some of the entrees are under $20 per person:

We also like The Wave at the Contemporary...very cool, upscale looking interior (but not stuffy)

Where is Sanna at in AKL? The menu looks perfect for my family.

Thank you everyone! I've actually sampled Sanaa and it's too spicy for me (with the Indian flavors).

Any opions on Brown Derby or Coral Reef?

For atmosphere... San Angel Inn inside the Mexican pavillion. If you can get a seat by the river, even better.

How about Tony's at MK?

We used to love eating in the Castle, but probably won't go back now that it's a character meal. Great atmosphere up there, though! Was fun to eat late and watch the fireworks out the windows.

Teppan Edo in Japan is a lot of fun (I'm assuming it's still the same show as when it was the Teppanyaki Grill).

I've always thought the Garden Grill in The Land would be fun, but we haven't tried it yet.

Le Cellier is good, too. Not huge on the theming (kind of like eating in the wine celler of a castle ;) ), but *really* good cheese soup & breadsticks!

If $$ is a concern, remember lunches are usually less than dinners. :) We usually do our sit-downs at lunch for that reason.

Thae last two times we were at the Coral Reef(8/08), I wasn't impressed. The food was just OK, and the booth we were seated at was sagging, ripped and very uncomfortable. Good thing the view was great! I would skip this restaurant
