I need a GOOD point & shoot....already have an SLR. Any recommendations?

I have the Canon Rebel XT....and I adore it. However, sometimes I need something small and compact that I can just throw in the car and go. I'm so protective of my XT and always carry it in the big, bulky case.

I have tried several point and shoot cameras and ended up returning them. The photos all seemed blurry....I dont know, maybe I'm just comparing it with my XT, and I know that a point and shoot cannot compare to an SLR.

I would like something with 4+ megapixels. And I would also like movie mode as well. And a large LCD is always a plus. Does anyone have a point and shoot camera that they really love? Good colors, brightness, flash recharge time, clarity, etc?

Strongly recommend Fuji F10 if you need the high ISO (its ISO1600 is relatively clean for a point and shoot), ofr Canon S2-IS.

I love my Canon Powershot A620. It doesn't shoot RAW though if that's important to you.

Image Stabilization could be the answer.

Most (all?) of the Panasonic Lumix cameras offer a version of that, and some have gotten good write ups. (visit www.dpreview.com for some solid insight.)

I have a Canon A95 Powershot -- which is not the most up-to-date, but does take great snapshots. I think the A700 is its current successor.

Canon also has a new one coming out this month, the SD 700 elph, which is the first small Canon with Image Stabilization, and goes up to iso 800. But it's pricey (listing at $499). For the same price you could the new S-3, which has 12x zoom and a lot more bells and whistles. And for $150 less than that, you could spring for the S-2.
