I just received a PIN for free regular dining during our stay.

I would have to revert back to the room rack rate and am unsure what to do.

I had not planned on buying the dining plan.

However my DF just this morning informed me he would like to go with us (staying in our room - making 4 adults)

Going from $2,171 to $3020 for the room rate for 7 days.

It would be four of us on the adult ddp, however my dd is 11 and eats like a bird.

I see that the dining plan rate goes up a few dollars for June. Does this mean regular menu prices go up as well?

My adrs are:

Brown Derby, Yachtsman, Flying Fish, and Le Cellier for lunch.

Really appreciate your help!:yay:

I think the Dining Plan is worth it...esp with the restaurants you picked (theyre all 2 TS credits, except for lunch at Le Cellier which is only 1). Since your staying for 7 days and 6 nights (correct?)....you will be getting 6 TS credits. Perhaps you can pay for Le Cellier out of pocket?

Even thou your daughter eats like a bird, im sure overall its still a $ saver to choose the dining plan. :thumbsup2

Can i make a suggestion? Since you already have Yachtsman, i would drop Le Cellier (unless you REALLY love steak). I personally think Le Cellier is overrated. I found my steak to be tasteless and fatty, and after coming from Yachtsman, you might only be disapointed. I would try something different such as Teppan Edo (teppanyaki/hibachi at the Japan Pavilion). Believe it or not, theyre steak was waaaay better than Le Cellier!!

Again, its just a suggestion!

Assuming you mean 7 nights, not 7 days, the book value of the basic DDP for 4 adults during peak season is $1343.72 vs. the extra $849 for the room cost, meaning a savings of nearly $500.

That is, assuming you value the DDP at it's list price. But even at a discounted valuation, say $35/pp/night, you'd come out ahead with the free dining. The break-even point would be if you value DDP at a little over $30/pp/night. ($30.32 by my calculation).

For 6 nights, the book value savings would be about $300 with a break-even valuation of $35.37/pp/night.

Thank so much guys - I couldn't get my head around it!
