I need a camera bag/purse...

Any suggestions? I'd like something with a little style that looks like a purse and that I could potentially wear across by body. However, it needs to be big enough to hold my Canon SX 40. I wouldn't necessarily use this everyday, more for traveling. It would have to have room for a few things besides the camera like an extra battery, chapstick, a small wallet, gum and sunglasses (my traveling necessities). I do have a few nice bags from bagallini and columbia, but they look rather touristy. I'd like something a little more dressy looking. TIA

Search for Janine King on Etsy. I have a studio and on location portrait business and I carry a camera everywhere, everyday. I have a couple different gorgeous Janine King bags and I love them. They're incredibly well-made and gorgeous. I can carry my 60D Canon, a spare lens, my iPad, iPhone, and a card wallet, cross-bodied. I should note that I'm not at all affiliated with Janine or Etsy, just addicted to gorgeous camera purses.

I had been searching for a crossbody I could use as a regular bag and a camera bag. I found this seller on Ebay, they are from China but have good feedback, and they have several nice looking crossbody styles that have padded inserts.

I bought my daughter a Vera Bradley backpack, It might have been called a bookbag..and she love it and carrys it everywhere plus other stuff fits in too.

It holds my: camera with lens and extra lens x 2 (one of them is my 50 mm lens, so it is small). Also inside there is room for a few things like wallet, snacks, keys, etc. On the outside there is a perfect pocket for a water bottle.

I can second this one. I have this bag in black and it is great if you don't need to carry too many lenses.

I also really like the Porteen Gear bags, http://porteengear.com/. They come in 3 sizes. They have some ready to order, or they will custom make one for you. You can choose the colors and fabrics. I just had one made and should receive it any day.
