If anyone has a parking pass that they will not be using for 2004, i would love to have it. We are going to WDW from December 16th through the 24th. Please email me at tbahmanz@yahoo.com. Thanks!

I don't think that is a problem since I will be staying onsite, but i appreciate the info. I would still like to have one, if anyone has one they are not using. With the two children, getting back to the resort late at night would be a lot easier with parking a bit closer! LOL! If my DH were coming, it wouldn't be a big deal, but, without him, I need all the help I can get keeping the kiddies in line.

You are staying on-site and driving to the parks ? I've always
found DIS on-site transportation to be the way to go.

I have actually found it is easier to get on the tram and ride it to your parking spot than the spots that are assigned for AAA.

I am thinking that I will spend several days at the parks until closing and getting out of the parks and to my car faster without having to wait for a bus or wait for a tram with the two kids seems like a good idea. However, maybe I should use the disney transportation most of the time. Thanks for the input.

I wish I could help, but I can't find our parking pass that we got in May. I would second using Disney transportation though. I'll be alone with my 9 month old for part of our trip and there's no way I'd want to mess with a car-walking to/from the car, driving with a baby, finding a parking spot. We'll be using the buses.

We are going to WDW from December 16th through the 24th.
The last time we got a AAA parking pass, it listed black out dates for the pass that included the latter half of December. We arrived on Dec 27 (2002) and the pass was worthless to us.

I believe the AAA parking pass is blocked out for the entire month of Dec for Magic Kingdom, but the other parks are not at least up to XMAS. Animal Kingdom might not be blocked out at all, but I don't remember.

Any luck getting one TammyAlphabet? I'd like one too if you happen to get more than one offer but, it sounds like we might not be missing much by not having one. Good luck and have fun on your approaching trip!

Not having any luck so far....Maybe it is for the best. But, I will let you know if I get more than one. LOL. I will have fun for sure, just walk a little farther to the car.

I have an extra AAA parking pass I can send you. Send me an email and I'll put it in the mail. If anyone else is interested I will have an additional one available when I get back from my trip on 12/7.

How do you get a AAA parking pass?

We belong to AAA....

We stay in an MK monorail hotel, so we use the monorail or boats to get to and from the MK, but prefer to drive everywhere else.

I just got my AAA parking pass when I picked up my park tickets the other day. I had never even heard of this pass before. Where exactly is the "Diamond Parking' areas? Is it closer to the gate or not?

Thanks!

You need to book a vacation package with them or buy park hopper tickets. We are members too but bought annual passes which did not count.

If it's busy in the parks I would definitely drive my own car rather than use Disney transportation. We HATED waiting in the bus queue when we stayed at POFQ last June...sometimes couldn't load until the 3rd or 4th bus, and more often than not had to stand on the bus. Not fun with tired children in tow. The LAST thing I want to do after a long day at WDW is stand in ANOTHER long line, waiting to get home. Give me a tram to my car and the opportunity to SIT on the way home, even if it's in a traffic jam, after a long day.

Seems like our wonderful fellow DISer Steve may have an extra one available after December 7th. Send him an email and maybe we could both get lucky. LOL. By the way, if anyone will be arriving at the OKW on December 24th or later and would like to use the pass that Steve is sending me, email me your name and i will leave it at the front desk for you. I have heard that they accept these into january for maybe someone else and benefit too! Thanks!

just walk a little farther to the car.

I think you will be surprised at how much walking you will do with the AAA pass. You do get to park closer, but there are no trams..so the walk is usually longer. Much better, imo (unless you have strollers that are difficult to fold) to park in the regular parking and walk to a tram and be dropped off at night.
