I really must have blacked out for a moment, because before I knew it, I was requesting 121 more BWV points.

I had been debating this purchase for a while. I added 71 points to bring my total at BWV to 300. Something came over me, and I was on the phone requesting an additional 50.

I hope I like this resort for a long time. I have a lot of money invested in it. I look at DD 5, and want to capture as many memories as possible. I hope that as she gets older she doesn't start to take it for granted, and decide she is too cool for Disney.

No blackout, your motives are good and we understand. We bought a little over a year ago and have added on three times.

As we get older & start to see our brains soften, I think those black-outs become more frequent. I hope I soon have a black-out just as bad as yours! If your 5-year old ever finds she is too cool for Disney, leave her home...that way you and your spouse can have all the fun for yourself. My son is 12, the "I'm not doing that with you..." age. However, when it comes to Disney, he's doing it and bragging about it. Hope you enjoy the extra points.

I'm sure you will never tire of the resort!!! As for your five year old, I have it in my mind that if my children ever tell me they're too cool for Disney, I'm going with just DH!!! I'll be glad to leave them home at that point

Thanks for the replies. The reason I bought in to begin with is that spouse is very ill. Can't participate in parenting. Just me. Wanted to make sure that memories would be mostly happy ones. It is the time I am most able to focus on dd without the other worries.

When I remember why I bought in, my perspective returns.

I think the memories we already have are priceless.

You will find the 10-13 years a little harder to convice to go, butnot ipossible, then they start seeing WDW on a different level, the beauty, the music, the atmosphere, not just characters and rides. My son is now 20 and really doesn't like it when we go without him. We feel lucky to have it this way.

Hope you are taking lots of pictures of those special memories. They are priceless.

I noticed this also ---about the ages. Though it seems to be hesitancy on the part of my son, who is now 16. He started becoming less-than-thrilled with Disney vacation around age 13-14. Though now, we prod him to come with promises of letting him go to IOA and hang. The only four attractions at WDW he will really admit to enjoying are Test Track, Space Mtn, Rock N Roller coaster and TOT. If we're in the MK, he'll just go off and ride Space Mtn 10 times in a row....lol He loved the Disney Cruise but this was alot in part due to the teen club---Common Grounds. He wants to go again just to hang out in the club ! We cruised on our points btw.
Now, lucky for me, my 10 and almost 13 year old daughters are still thrilled to go WDW. I think you can stretch out enthusiasm longer with girls---not sure about this though
Congrats on adding on your points A1A1 ! We'd love to do this, but we've been recently hit with bills for braces (2 of the kids) and needing a new car in addition to some needed repairs on our "primary" home. Ahhhh.....hoping next year we can.
I agree with you that the memories are well-worth the cost. Hope your spouse's health improves and u all continue to share happy moments with the DVC.
