I know what you mean about being able to find shoes that actually fit well. Thanks to a genetic mutation from my mother, I have almost no arch in my feet which makes wearing most shoes pretty uncomfortable. The only ones I can wear for any length of time and be totally comfortable in are my Docs.

I bought a $50 pair of Nike's the other day and felt guilty. Yet, my daughter has about 15 pairs of shoes (no joke) and I decided I need to treat myself sometimes too. Shoes for her are just so much cuter than mine!

Well, I must be in the freak category, too. Can't stand to go shoe shopping. Most are ugly, uncomfortable or just not ME! Don't get me wrong, I have several pairs but, wind up wearing the same 2 pairs all the time. If it was up to me I would wear my sneakers everyday but, unfortunately they are not on the list of appropriate business casual attire. Not crazy about purses either. My sisters make fun of the oversized fannypack I stuff everything into. But, it works for me .

1 pr 'bobo's' (keds for those not from the Philly area)

1 black mini for 'dress up'
1 mickey backpack for Disney

I know what you mean, chell. When I was a kid, the only time I was allowed to wear shoes was to school or church or anyplace we had to wear shoes to get in. Mom wanted to try and make our shoes last as long as possible, since we couldn't really afford to buy new shoes that often. I think I bankrupted her one year when I went through 13 pairs of shoes in one year because my feet grew like .

My real dad used to tease me and say I should've been born a Hobbit because I ran around barefoot so much.

not only am I a woman who can't stand shoe shopping (I still have nightmares of going to Sears with my mother for back to school sales) - - - - I am also a woman who can't stand clothes shopping at the mall!

my mil and sil LOVE to shop and all they ever talk about is their new outfits and what jewelry their husband just bought them. Blech! Count me out. Give me a t-shirt, pair of jeans, and sneakers anyday.

Oh I go shoe shopping alot! however I come home with the same thing everytime, white Sketchers. I live in them, Oh I did get white Sketcher flips for the summer! I PANIC when theres a day out of the ordinary!! NO SHOES TO WEAR. Im a stay at homie, I live in my car and in my sweats!

I'm a freak too, then! Well, I don't HATE shoes, and I have a few more than 4 pair back from when I used to work. (Let's see, DSis 6 now, so my dress shoes are at least 6 years old!) I just don't see the obsession some women have with shoes. As soon as I walk in the door, I kick them off, and most of the time at home (indoors and outdoors) I am barefoot.

Oh dear; I guess I shouldn't sneak in here and say that I LOVE shoes! I have a really narrow foot, and almost every pair I put on, hurts for a while, but I just keep trying.

I guess I'm a freak too, I always thought I wasn't a girl. I hate hate hate shoe shopping with a passion. I don't really like clothes shopping, but that's not half as bad as shoe shopping. I don't understand the obsession of shoe shopping, but I usually have to get dragged there. I don't own many pairs of shoes. I have my sneakers that I wear in the winter, my flip flops that I wear in the summer, and I think 2 pairs of dress shoes which depend on the weather.

That is pretty much what I do, but since I may be called to court to testify at any time, I need the 'emergency' shoes and heels. I am not my mother's daughter, she has matching shoes for every outfit!
