Whats with the free dining I keep hearing about in Dec?

Did I miss out on something?

I got a PIN in the mail (and in email but with someone else's name!) You could call to see if you have a code attached to your name/address in case you missed it.

Yep, you missed something! They are offering free dining to disney visa cardholders for various dates in Oct, Nov, and Dec. There are, of course, blackout dates, but still a good number of days. Especially being that many have reported back being able to arrive on the last day of a set period of days, and still getting it for their whole trip if no days are blocked out! We are taking a 9 night/10 day trip in mid Nov and we got FD! Yay! I found the info on the Codes and Rates board the evening before they were going to start this. Below is the link to that thread, and the first post of that thread with info on the FD, such as dates. If you are going in Dec, maybe it will cover some or all of your days! Many, myself included, have reported also getting a small room discount, though the CM's will tell you that their is no room discount, rooms are rack rate. You also have to buy a one day base ticket if you aren't already buying tickets for your trip. You do have to have and at least make a deposit using you're Disney Visa to take advantage of the FD code. If you don't have the d.visa you could go the website and apply, and if approved, you can book trip on disney website then, and then call and ask to apply the FD code to your ressie. I can explain that better if I'm not making sense! Anyway, sorry to be so longwinded, but hope some of this info helps!

The PIN was at a discount in addition to the free dining... I upgraded to deluxe dining for only about $300 extra for the two of us and I know it will be well worth it and that we won't use all of the dining credits and will be bringing tons of snacks home because I KNOW we won't eat many snacks at all while we are there. We weren't able to do it with the basic dining plan on any of our other trips, this will be a challenge!!!
