I miss my walks

Used to go out almost every night walking around the house. But DH hasn't let me do it all this summer due to the West Nile Virus/mosquito business.

It is beautiful out in the Chicago area tonite, and I am not allowed out.

I don't like to walk around the house at night. I'm afraid I'd walk into a critter or 2-like my SO's 17 yo nephew or my weird neighbor.

Didn't you have trouble with coyotes a few months ago?

Yeah, and we still do. The other weekend when Apolonia was over, I sleep kind of light when she is sleeping with me (so I can make sure she is covered, etc), the coyotes started howling so loud it woke me up and gave me the chills. It sounded like there were so many out there. They are scary.

On second thought, who the heck needs to go for walks?

Isn't that what treadmills are for? My dd won't allow me to get on a treadmill though. I had a "slight" accident last year on one. When we go to Sears she refuses to let me near them (they're not even plugged up!).

I don't know if I've heard one howl close up. When I hear them far away, they make me feel like looking at the moon.

The west nile thing has really gotten to us down here too. There are so many outside that its a shame!! Thankfully its supposed to cool off a little in the next few days. I'm ready for the first freeze so they will GO AWAY!

Yeah Beauty, I'm waiting for the first freeze too.

DH is worried, rightly so. There have been more cases of West Nile (including deaths) in our Chicagoland area than anywhere else in the US. So it is pretty scarry.
