I might have thrown away my child's iPod. Update: Found

Losing my keys has been a life-long curse.

I have never completely lost my keys before, but I am always losing stuff. My husband got me a tile (it has a button that calls your phone or you can get on your phone to make the tile on your keys make a noise) for my birthday so I would quit losing everything. I'm thinking I'll be putting one on the new iPod!

Check all couch cushions! Even those that don't come off all the way. My daughter found her iPod in an armchair two years after it went missing. I too thought I had thrown it away.

No chance she took it to school Friday and left it there?

My mom use to tell me to pray to St. Anthony when I would lose things. I would misplace so much of my stuff as a teenager it was a very common prayer/request. :flower1:

Good luck!!!

That is a great question. I do remember filling out some paperwork from her school providing my permission to use her devise for educational purposes. She said no, but I have hope.

Thank you all for your support and well wishes, it has helped me feel so much better about my clumsy mistake (and given me some hope that it might yet to be found).

Since it really wasn't noticed missing until yesterday, I'd sure hold off on getting a new one until she checked at school.

Good luck. . . I hope it turns up! :)

Totally this! I can't tell you how many times I've found stuff under the couch cushions. I swear the couch eats stuff.

I've found missing stuff in different pockets of backpacks or purses, under the bed (it's amazing how far things can go when they fall off bedside tables) or mixed into papers on the dining room table.

Good luck!

Update: I found the iPod tonight under the pillows of a top bunk of a bunkbed that my daughters don't use unless we have company.

Glad you found it!

My daughter accidentally sent her iPod through her wash in her jeans. Her dad had a bit of a meltdown (not taking care of her belongings, not appreciating stuff, destroying valuables, etc, etc), but I stuck it in a bowl of rice and by morning it was just fine. Still works, now many years later.

Those things are tough!
