I might be having a DFTW!!!

Okay so my fiance and I have been engaged for a little over a month now. Planning took off to a great start at first and then I started my teaching internship and got thrown way way off the wedding planing path.

I have decided that I either want to have the wedding at Casa Feliz (a historic home in Orlando) or Disney. I just got off the phone with DFTW, gave them my info, and am now waiting for a return phone call from a wedding rep.

I am going to try to get all the info I can on both places, visit each location (it's a great excuse to get to WDW for a day ) and then hopefully make a decision by March.

We kinda did the wedding and honeymoon planning backwards. We are DVC members so we booked our homeymoon at the Boardwalk with Boardwalk view for December 18-January 1. It's kinda weird to have the honeymoon set but not even have a specific date for the wedding yet (sometime around Dec. 18th)

Congrats!! Good luck with all of your decision making! I'm trying to decide between a DFTW and a wedding nearer my parents in Virginia right now, so I'm in the same boat as you. Hey, at least you've got the honeymoon planned!!

I am so excited for you, Nicole! I think Casa Feliz is beautiful. Raul and I decided on that location because we could have a full wedding for less than the weekday minimum at WDW. Although a Disney wedding is gorgeous, we wanted to save our money for a long honeymoon in Italy. We are going to have an Illuminations party for our rehearsal and we are going to stay at WDW. To us, it is a great compromise. I haven't been to the house in person yet, so I would love to hear your feedback when you visit. Let me know if you need any help with vendors. Although my wedding is Dec 2007, I have plenty of information already. =)
