We were at Animal Kingdom when my DH saw him, for the life of me I can't remember his name. We saw him on :happytv: the night before, he's the gentleman with the earrings in his left ear. He was with about four other people taking pics near EE, so I didn't bother him. About 15 minutes later we where in front of the Nemo theater and there he was again. In my mind we were destined to meet. My niece wanted to ask about EE, I wanted a pic. I was a little hestiant as they looked busy but, he was very nice and agreed to take the pic with me :cool1: Sadly, my niece didn't hold the button long enough for the pic to take  but I do have a sideways pic of him.

He asked if we rode EE I told him no we were :scared: . He says oh you have to ride its great. He goes on to say the ride goes 50 mph and when you go backwards it feels as though your'e upside down but of course you never are and the g forces are wonderful. Then he says to at least go through the que, because its great, a museum of the Himalaya's, then we can chicken out if we want. He told us the line was less than 20 min because he had just rode, I guess no fastpass for him.

We took his advice and rode and I was :scared1: but it was great. Anyway, this was a highlight for me. My DH thinks I am nuts while the kids are excited about meeting the the characters and I was excited :woohoo: about meeting an Imagineer. I will be drafting a letter to Disney tommorrow to let them know how much my family and I enjoyed our vacation. :thanks: :disrocks:

Wow, you're so lucky! That's even better than meeting the characters. I'm glad you had the nerve to go up and talk to him, I don't know if I could. BTW, I think his name is Joe Rhode.

It's funny, but once you said "The guy with the big earrings.." i knew EXACTLY who you were talking about!!
How cool!

:cool2: I remember seeing him on TV. We're having dinner with one (don't know which one) Thursday night. :cool1:

What a cool encounter! I'm so glad you met him. I know DW would probably :faint: if we ever did!

I feel your excitement! The Travel Channel has several WDW specials, and in 2003 I had the opportunity to meet two different people from them........you would have thought I had met a huge celebrity! One was from the AKL special with Samantha Brown. The bell hop who took her to her room and told her about the hotel was named Toby. Well wouldn't you know it, we had him take us to our room!! Before he left I asked if it was him and we had the most wonderful conversation!

I then was waiting inside the Tower of Terror for my bf and saw that creepy looking guy who is on so many things about TT. When my bf got off I told him that he wouldn't believe who I just saw but didn't know where he had gone. We finally found him greeting people outside and I spoke with him about his being on the show. He really does a good job of acting creepy in real life! LOL

Thanks there is no way I would have remembered his name. He was so nice. That just really made my trip for me.

I know exactly who you are talking about- he is very distinctive looking. What an interesting person to meet- I'm sure I would have thought of 100 good questions to ask him right after he walked away.

Funny you mention about feeling like you are upside down. I definately felt that the first time but thought it was just me. I did not know the ride was designed to make you feel that way. Cool.

The man you met is the one who basically designed Animal Kingdom if I am not mistaken.
