I had booked the POP with free dining (prefer room) when it came available to the general public but when I checked flights I thought that maybe I should change my dates to mon-fri instead of tues-sat.. Well I switched to the french quarter but then realized I was looking at loosing my friday night in Disney... So I try to get my POP ressie back.. Nope.. I still havent made by flights yet and now I have the All star Movies... I am going to try to keep calling back to get the POP....
Other than the buses did I really mess this up? I have stayed at the Sports and it was fine (on the plus side I am saving about $150)
Also I applyed for a Disney Chase visa card and was approved. Once I get my card can I call back to see if I can get free dining at the POP with that offer (if availibility) or has that offer expired?

The Free Dining offer is opened to the general public, so having the card will not make a difference in that regards.

But no matter were you end up staying you will have a good time, so don't stress out about it.

Frankly the differences between Pop and the All Stars has always seemed small to me. You'll have fun even if you can't get Pop.

thanks guys! I am starting to feel better but I am still going to be on the look out for POR, POP for my time frame.. Disney might be hearing from me everyday from now until 9/27 to check rooms

Another thing to consider is if there are rooms available for the free dining offer. I wouldn't cancel anything further until you make sure they will allow a room with free dining since they are limited amount of rooms at each resort that they have available for this offer : )
Also just another thought or info on what happened to me ... When I called WL to change my regular booking to free dining they said nothing was available. A few days later I found exactly what I wanted with free dining on disney website. I booked it right away and then cancelled my original WL booking and they transferred my money to my new booking. ( I would book online if you find a room at pop with FD is what I am saying. And then call and cancel your current booking, and they'll transfer your deposit ect to new booking at pop )
I was kinda of put out that they said nothing available yet I found it online ... Saved me $1000 finding this myself on their site

Try with the DV they are in fact separate offers with different availability. No joke.. I had to do this one year since we waited to long to book.

Our family would stay at movies over pop any day. We have had very little bus sharing during our trips at the all stars with the exception of midday. I personally find the smaller size of movies preferential to the size of pop.

I cancelled a POP free dining last night for my client. They moved to All Star Movies.

OP, you may be overthinking it..... look at it this way...you have a disney hotel booked, you have FD you have your flights all set (?) so why worry? You're going to have a great time!
