I may have an interview.....

I have been job hunting on and off for a year. Had one interview, it went well, but I was not offered the job (that was ok - I don't think it was the right position for me). Went through a rough time with my current employer when they forgot to include me in the candidate pool for another p/t job at my current place of employment.

I said I wasn't going to job hunt for awhile - take the summer off.

Today I checked my email that I use for resumes, and I got a reply for something I applied to a month ago. I was sent a questionnaire to fill out - it's step one of their interview process. They will call for interviews after they read the questionnaires.

So I filled it out and sent it in.

And of course - I leave for Disney on Saturday!

I was open about that in both my email reply and my questionnaire answers. They may toss me aside because I won't be there, but there isn't much I can do about it. Maybe, since it took a month to get through the applicants, it will take them a week or two to schedule interviews?

It just figures that this would happen this week. LOL

I am trying not to fret. After all, I am going to DISNEY in 6 days!

Good news - I did get the call for an interview. The supervisor wanted to be sure to speak with me before I left for WDW.

Bad news - she asked me for an interview after she asked if I was still interested if the job's salary was in a lower range than what I said I was looking for. It may be too low for me to consider (when working means childcare expenses - it may cost less for me to stay home - which is why I have been home 10 years!). But I would like to at least talk with them.

So I am interviewing less than 24 hours before leaving for our trip! LOL

Thanks - and packing is DONE already - except for snacks for the car ride and the things that we are still using. We can't wait!
