It's cool that you got to go to Universal Studios, too. ET sounds like a tough one for little kids. Actually, all of Universal Studios sounds kind of tough for little kids. I'm sure there's a lot of cool rides there that they'd never get to go on.

We were on our way to islands of adventure and the main reason I wanted to go was to visit harry potter. . We made our way to suess landing 1st and did the highlights. Devyn was not a fan of the cat in the hat but he loves the trolly because it is a train. We got to ride shot gun!

after sues landing we made our way to hogsmeade The older people rode dueling dragons but I decieded to stay and look around and good thing to because they got stuck on it.

We made our way to forbidden journey. There was absolutely no line and while that was good, it was kind of side not to stop in the que of the castle but a get a few pics

I was so excited about the ride. I loved the ride and how we started off flying until........................................( spoiler if you haven't rode. skip over the next paragraph)

































I saw a giant spider! Aww!



I cannot even say/spell the word without freaking out!
My eyes were closed the rest of the ride and I was screaming, freaking out, like something was crawling all over me. Eww!
I quickly turned down the chance to ride again when we swapped with my mom and sister. Because I sad the “S” word my mom did not see any of the ride. She closed her eyes as soon as she got on. I felt kinda bad because the ride was great and I wish she would have at least seen part of it.
So, after the forbidden journey, Devyn and I stayed behind for the shops while everyone else went ahead. We saw the show in olivanders with a 20 minute wait, which was the longest wait for anything all day.

After that I got a frozen butterbeer and went to find everyone else. They were on the hulk and I saw my mom and Tj outside. Tj wanted to go on superman again! So, I went on it with him. They backtracked to the flyers in Jurassic park for the kids. Once the got off we made our way to the exit. I was so tired but so thankful for this since it was a gift and not going to happen. I was ready to get to our new room and enjoy Disney!

What a fun day! We love IoA! I'm a big Harry Potter fan & really think they did a good job with the theming. Although, I do wish the area was a bigger. So say, they will be expanding it. Just another reason to return!

I love harry potter as well, not as much as Disney but pretty close and i wanted it to bigger too but it was very well themed!

I know i do not like those and i was so looking forward to the ride but i did enjoy it before that. I was surprised at the line because there were alot of people in the area

This is the end of day one, so this will be short.



We got a cab at universal and it dropped us off at AKL,roughly the same price as taking it from all star movies. It was so beautiful with that tree in the lobby. Unfortunately, we were tired and hungry, so we checked in and went straight to mara for dinner since we were on the dining plan. I did not get any pics because we ate quickly. Devyn and I shared the half chicken dinner, a coke, and I had to try the famous zebra domes for dessert. They were ok but i think i would have preferred just a plain mickey ice cream bar. Devyn enjoyed them more. Then we went to the room. We were were renting points and booked a standard studio. We ended up in room 5545 on the zebra trail,

one of the farthest rooms from the lobby and bus stops, which was the only drawback I had for this place but after the first 2 days, we got use to it.

It was dark so I could not get any pictures to come out outside so we went to bed.

It was not. I rented my points through david since it was my 1st time and we sent disney gift cards and he contacted the owners to add it

I woke up the next day and the clock said 7:54am. I know this because I took a pic. The sun was out and I was able to finally get some picks of our view. I went outside and the 1st thing I see is a giraffe. I was so happy I was like a kid. I read that standard views at Jambo were all pool view so I was happy upon check in that we in fact did not have a pool outside but some animals.

The poly was the only other deluxe I have stayed at and we were on the 2nd floor so, no full balcony. I love having a balcony and a little bit of privacy. Having a savannah view made us use it more, including devyn. Devyn has a language impairment and goes to speech once a week so I was very happy that on this trip he learned a new word, ANIMATS, or animals in his case. He since then has corrected that but it was so cute I wanted to share it.





I was up early from everyone else. I manage to dress devyn without waking him up and decided to go see the resort while my mom was getting up and ready to go.

OK, So im no professional but they are not too bad!
After my mini expedition and my mouth watering from the smell coming from Boma, i went back to the room to get ready to go to AK

Isn't it hard sometimes to correct your son when he says things wrong? I know when Reid does it, it can be so darn cute. But, I do end up correcting him so he doesn't go on trying to say it wrong. The one word that Reid always struggles with is "ridiculous". He says "bediculous". When we're driving, he usually says, "Look at all this traffic Mommy. It's bediculous!" It's the simple things that are just so funny with them, right?!?

What a great day to be at IoA for Harry Potter! I have never seen pictures of it looking that uncrowded. I'm itching like crazy for the day we will be able to head over there to experience it.

Love the pics of AKL. What a beautiful resort! After listening to a podcast about the Mara from the DIS podcasters, DH and I are thinking of heading over there one afternoon to check out the resort.

It is! I wish it was warm enough for me to take devyn to the pool. I don't swim but he loves the water

Our park for the day was AK with side trips to HS and EPT. It was my sisters only full disney day and they went to MVMCP the next day so we hopped with them today. Once I got back to the room, devyn was up and enjoying the view

so I open the door and let him out on the balcony

A little after 10 am we went to get the bus to AK

and stopped for some entrance photos

It was a very short ride over and once there we went straight to camp Minnie-mickey. Before we went to see the FOTLK, we meet some characters starting with Thumper and Mrs. Bunny.

i had to get in this one!

I loved seeing the Christmas decorations and one thing that got my eye was before each character trail there was a tree that represented each character but I only got a pic of donald's.

After meeting the characters we got in line to the lion king

The room looks great! I have stayed at The Beach Club, The Boardwalk, The Caribbean Beach and Pop Century, but never Animal Kingdom Lodge. It looks fab though! I would love to try it. Would you recommend it?
