 Gee, guys, I'm having fun reading all your stories and looking at pictures! I attended a wedding for the first time this year- two actually- and now I'm hooked on wedding/proposal stories. hehe. I'm at the age where my peers are just starting to get married. There are no wedding bells for me in the works just yet, but I do have a wonderful boyfriend, and you all are making me fantasize. If we ever did get married, we'd have to have a Beauty and the Beast theme- we met because of our shared love of that movie! (He contacted me online after reading a B&TB fanfiction of mine.)

Congratulations to those of you in the mists of a wedding!

Hi AngieBelle,

Welcome to the Weddings/Honeymoon Board! :teeth:

You work at WDW, right? Do you get to see a lot of the weddings that go on there?

Yes, I do work at WDW. :) I have on occassion spotted weddings while visiting resorts. Once my boyfriend and I saw one going on at the Boardwalk in which everyone was wearing mouse ears! I see couples with the bride and groom ears all the time.

Once, I was working with Chip at the Poly, and a young woman showed Chip her engagement ring. Chip got all excited and held up her hand trying to show people at other tables. Pooh has also met several engaged/just married couples who have been at Crystal Palace when I've been there with him.

When I used to work attractions at Festival of TLK, I once heard that a friend of one of the singers was going to propose during the show! I was sooo disappointed when I got bumped to an outdoor position right before the show it was supposed to take place in. Apparently, what happened was when the young male singer went over to the lion section to pick someone to make the lion sound, he picked the guy wanting to propose. When given the mic, the guy got down on one knee and popped the question in front of the entire theatre! She said yes, and during "When the Lion Sleeps Tonight" when children are invited to circle the stage, she got to parade around as well, showing off her ring. Awwwww!

OMG me too! All of my friends are now married and I'm the single one now! LOL so I get a kick out of all the planning stories and such too!

I came over here because I'm planning my neice's wedding. She is getting married May 21, 2005. Unfortunately she's not getting married in Disney...that would have been cool!! But we are working with a $5000 budget and 180 people. I'm going to be a professional wedding planner when this is all done!!! I just wanted to say that I'm hooked on all the reality wedding shows too!! Always looking for ideas!
Congrats to all you engaged and just marrieds!!

P.S. I'm kinda of bumming because I see all these cool ideas...but I was married in 1991..so I can't use any of them. I do however have 3 children...2 of them daughters :Pinkbounc I'm keeping a notebook of ideas!

WDW does offer packages for Vow Renewals. Just something to keep in mind! ;)

BTW, I admire you for taking on the task for your niece! 180 people! :faint: LOL :p

AngieBelle - seems like you must have a lot of fun on your job. Being able to be a part of so many magical memories for so many different people! :cloud9:

That's almost identical to my budget. $5000, but I have 200 people. How are we ever going to do it???? :confused3

My neice actually has 200 on her list but I'm hoping some won't come. I know that doesn't sound nice but....you know how it is. I'm doing all her flowers and centerpieces (she's going with a western theme). Plus I'm doing the food and decorations. My sister is paying for it all but I'm the coordinator. She definately has the easier job!!
I'm really going to need my Disney vacation!! I told my neice she owes me a day at the spa!!
Good Luck robnkris. Keep us posted..we can share budget tips!!
