being in a bus going park to park......I get the biggest kick out of seeing them......the first time many years ago.....I thought what the heck was that......and some lady that was sitting near us said it is their local next to the road critter.......she asked where we were from and I told her Maine......she said .......well then you have ground hogs then......right?????? Or gophers.........yup....that is us......I love to see them too......they are so cute
more often then not they are dead road kill though.....their caregivers never told them to look both ways

First time I saw them (a few years ago) in Disney and I was so excited also. I tried to contain myself because I didn't want to seem wierd.

My DS and I have a game when we visit. We try to see how many different creatures we can find in their natural habitat. One trip we saw the alligator at BCV, lizards, rabbits, deer, armidillo, lots of bird life and the turtles at BCV. We had a great time watching them all.

then the little bunnies and then the little lizards......then in front of our room at Port Orleans FQ.....a turkey .....this is the coolest

My grandparents lived in a trailer in central Florida and when the armadillos would scurry underneath it would sound like someone playing a washboard! When Alligator Alley was two lane the armadillos were like speed bumps, poor little things!
