I love these freebies for my business!

Since I took out a DBA for my home business I've been getting all kinds of samples from companies looking for me to order from them. Pens, pencils, calculators, dayplanners, calendars, mouse pads, magnets, etc. all with my business name and address on them. I haven't ordered anything yet, but the same companies keep sending me things. I feel a little funny using the things without buying more, but my DH said it's part of the game. They hope you remember them down the road when you do want to order. They make it sound like I have 100 employees or something when all it is is me.

Anyway, it's like getting a present from the mailman every day!

Every once in a while, I'll get a pen with my name and address on it, don't know why these people think I own a business. I didn't ask for the pens so I keep them.

from free or cheap pen packages. They end up costing tons of money. We used to get marketed to for this alot. We even bought once. DH and I used to joke that we can tell a new buisiness owner by the bunch of business pens they have. LOL

I remember attending a computer expo... and I had to register a 'fictitious business' to attend this convention. Even once in a while I get computer related stuff (disks, CDs, nothing big though). Just kinda funny though.
