I love The Twilight Zone Marathon!

I always loved watching the TZ marathon over the 4th of July, but they seemed to have done away with that one. For some reason, the NYE marathon just doesn't capture me in the same way. Love, love, love Twilight Zone though! :thumbsup2

Never knew they did one on the 4th of July. Probably cause we were camping some place or at the beach!

I was so upset last 4th of July that the marathon wasn't on. I refer to it as the "original" TZ marathon. If I'm correct, the New Year's TZ marathon started in 1999 or 2000, but the 4th of July marathon started in the early 90's (And it wasn't on SyFy back then).

my DVR recorded "Its A Good Life" last night, I'm watching it now. LOVE IT! It was one of my fav's. I also saw the sequel to this episode. Anthony had a daughter with his same "gift" plus the actor's real life daughter played the role she looked just like him. Made it extra creepy! I forgot that Chloris Leachman was a beautiful woman back in the day! Such talent! Tonight is my all time favorite episode, "To Serve Man" my favorite line, "Its A COOKBOOK!!!"

We bought all the seasons of Twilight Zone on DVD at Costco when they were on sale a couple of years ago. And here's a funny story...

About two years ago we were at a charity event that Jack Klugman attended & his son, who is a producer, worked on. The announcer said that most people above 35 would remember Mr. Klugman from The Odd Couple or Quincy MD... My DD & I looked at each other and said to each other 'well, DD's 16 & *she* knows him from his roles on The Twilight Zone!" Afterwards we did not get to meet Mr. Klugman but we did get to meet his son and told him what a thrill it was to see his dad & how the 16 year old knew who his dad was. The son then did a riff from 'Pip' and eerily sounded just like his dad.

This Christmas the family-member who we were guests of & who knows the son presented DD with the only known autographed still from The Twilight Zone of Jack Klugman (& Mr. Klugman personally signed it "to" DD).

Yeah, it was a cool Christmas.
agnes!
...great story! Anyone remember him from Quincy? popcorn::

DH and I are huge TZ fans!
We forgot it was on until I was flipping through the channels yesterday afternoon. I still find episodes I haven't seen, although DH seems to know almost all of them! We also love how some of the same people are in a few/many different episodes (the devil "Please let me out" was just in the episode with the piano, for example). We even own a bear that plays TZ music!

I have an entire New Year Twilight Zone marathon taped off WPIX from the early 90s.

Has the one with the guy surviving nuclear holocaust because he was in the bank vault been on yet?

How about Aunt T?

I've seen several that I had never seen before!

How about Aunt T?

Oh, "The Bewitchin' Pool" ... One of my favorites! I've been very lax about the marathon this year (:sad1:), but in the past "The Bewitchin' Pool" was always early on in the marathon. Here's hoping it hasn't aired yet!

For anyone who is interested, the complete definitive Twilight Zone collection is the "deal of the day" on Amazon.com and only costs $94! I just bought mine so that I can have my own 4th of July marathon next year...er, THIS year!

Just a note - its not that big of a savings and the series is coming out on blu-ray with even more features than the definitive collection. I think one of the discs on season 1 had some playback issues, don't know if those have been resolved, but I'm waiting for the entire series to be out on blu-ray first, anyhow. :)

(Not saying it isn't a good deal, but its not really 69% savings when most places sell it at $146 or under.)

I'm watching the marathon on the Sci-Fi Network today.....I wonder if it will play that episode again?....

Nope. They don't repeat episodes. Even leaving out the hour-long episodes (like Living Doll), they have plenty of half hour ones to keep people busy for less than 48 hours without a need to repeat. :)

Oh well, I just saw one of my other favorites "Stopover in a Quiet Town".... maybe I'll see if the other one is on Youtube!

I love "Eye of the Beholder" and the bomb shelter one, as well. Makes you think!
