I promise this isn't an advertisement; it's probably more of a self-vindication since I still can't believe I actually bought something off an infomercial!
I'm doing Body for Life, which includes 20 minutes of intense aerobic activity 3X/week. Till recently the weather has been too yucky for jogs with the kids in the double jogger, and I am sick of my aerobics videos, so I have been using the LTT and it has been a godsend! I put it in front of the TV while I use it, then just hide it away behind a living room chair when I'm done. It is small and quiet and even (almost) fun! I normally don't enjoy exercising very much but I'm definitely enjoying the results I am getting!
The fine print at the bottom of the screen during the infomercial is true--for best results, you DO need to use weights while you use the LTT (they recommend their resistance bands but I just use 10lb. hand weights) to really get your heart rate up. Also, the infomercial says you get an abdominal workout as well but I doubt this--I do crunches separately afterward to be sure.
This machine is certainly not for everyone, but for me, a SAHM who can't get to the gym and who doesn't have the money or space for fancy home gym equipment, this was a great find. Just don't tell DH (who is deployed overseas) that I bought something off an infomercial!
