I really believe that men screw things up so they won't be asked to do them again.

They NEVER screw up which brand of beer to buy. They NEVER screw up which night they are going out with THEIR friends.

No, it is always going out with YOUR friends or some chore that they screw up.

If something really matters I give it to him in writing, and then I make sure he remembers to take the note.

Good idea, if you then remind him to look at the note.

We have a calendar, in the kitchen, where DH goes every day - because God forbid he doesn't get his coffee.

I write stuff on the calendar, we discuss it, he says he doesn't want to go - whatever, too bad, so sad we're going.

The day comes, I tell him it's time to go, he swears uphill and down that I never told him. Hello ... anyone in there?

Funny, he knows exactly hom many days until my next time of the month!
