Earlier this year, we had a family crisis that made a DVC vacation unlikely this year. Then the crisis resolved itself at the end of the Summer. At the end of September, we decided to see if we could take an eight day DVC vacation during the Christmas to New Year week. We had just enough points to stay for three nights in OKW and five nights in BWV. Impossible during this busy time, we thought, but I called Member Services. At first, only two nights of the eight nights were available, in SSR, but I took them and went on the Wait List. Well, two months later and dozens of calls to Member Services to inquire about our Wait List status, and we now have the exact nights in the exact resorts that we wanted. In my many, many calls to Member Services over the last two months, every person I have spoken with has been friendly and helpful, with not even one impatient, unhelpful or unpleasant conversation. THANK YOU MEMBER SERVICES!

I love Member Services Too!!!

There is no way I would have as many points as I do if they were not as friendly, patient, and helpful as they are always with me.

I have lots of points and lots of contracts and they keep me straight!
 

I love Member Services even when my Waitlists don't come thru. Sure, it's better when they do, but the MS folks are invariably helpful.

I, too, would note that (especially recently) the Member Services folks have gone above and beyond to help out. It is wonderful to know that when you call them they will be eager to think creatively and be patient as we work out varying scenarios for trip options, too!!! Kudos to MS!
 
Wow, so even since September, you managed to get 5 consecutive nights at BWV during the Christmas holidays!, as well as the OKW that you wanted!

I'm so glad it worked out for you. What accomodations did you need?

I have always had good experiences with MS as well.

I love calling MS too. I had a situation where I needed the 29th of Dec to come available while I already had the days around it booked! I was desparate for the BWV boardwalk view, so I was waitlisted for the 1bdrm and the studio. Since I already had the 1bdrm for the days around it booked, I had to get waitlisted for the 30th, 31st for the studio Boardwalk view incase the 29th came available. ( I was willing to take whatever came available 1st)
Well, the 30th, 31st Boardwalk view came available 1st for the studio. I gave up the 1bdrm view for those nights so that I would only have to move once no matter if the 29th came in as a studio or a 1bdrm. I was glad that I had MS members to help me come up with this strategy. They even suggested that I rewaitlist for the 1bdrms for the 30, 31st again! I decided that I could handle moving one time at the end of our trip, and that I would rather save the points for another trip! They really are patient! I think that must be in the job requirement! Some are really gifted with the point situations too! I have 3 different UY with 2 resorts** could you imagine!?! I'm working on just keeping two UY at the same 2 resorts.
There have been a few times when the person was either new, or really could have messed up my banking situation. They were going to move points to my account from another account without letting me know that would affect my ability to move points in and out of that account for a whole UY cycle! Some really messed up the name spellings on one reservation where I wasn't sure if the luggage people would recognize it! I'm sure that they were in training, or would be moved on eventually. I need to spend more time waiting to complete those surveys at the end of my call!
I really enjoy most of those that I've talked to. I'm beginning to recognize their voices! I think that there are over 100 of them that do this. I haven't tried emailing my requests yet, but I don't think that I could give up the phone calls!
