I have felt less and less like coming to my beloved DISboards. I realize everyone can "vent", (a new age term meaning complaining about whatever slight a person might have, be it real or imagined)

So I am taking my opportunity to vent. I love Disney. I love FP+. I love DDP.
I love planning and taking trips to WDW. I even like riding the busses. I am BEYOND excited to see the 7DMT. I think the Magic bands are cool. My strategy in the parks is to have fun.

Not every post I read has to be filled with sunshine and rainbows, but think it's nice to read positive posts as well. When someone says what a great time they had, it seems mean for others to jump on with "Then you must not be doing it right!" We don't all have to agree, but for a Disney forum I like to try to keep the magic alive. :goodvibes

Pffff! Take off those Rose-Colored glasses and learn to hate things that make you happy, already! ;)

We love the new changes too. It makes it much more convenient for us since we live in FL and can pre schedule our day trips without having to get up and drive to WDW at 6am. We have not had a problem or complaint yet- we feel like all the new changes have made our lives easier and more relaxing at WDW!

Glad to read any positives. I had stopped for awhile coming on the boards to read because of the negativitiy.

I'm so glad to see something positive. We're going on our first trip to WDW in November and I was having moments where I questioned if we'd have a good time. Thanks for the magic.

108 days until our first visit, and some days I feel like I'm bursting with excitement. :hyper: I can't wait! :)

very well said! :)

Unfortunately, this thread will die with all the other pro-FP+ threads because people only feed off of negativity.

Oh well...

To a PP, I found myself at WDW a few trips ago LOOKING for paint chips and light bulbs out that I had read was SUCH an awful problem at Disney. (And also, how freshly-painted and well-lit Universal was...)
I nearly ruined my own trip looking for imperfections!! That was a sign I was on Disboards WAY too much.

You'll have a great time if YOU want to have a great time! :goodvibes

I too started out my last trip dreading the changes and lack of upkeep I had read about in here. But by day two I realized it was still a favorite vacation spot and some people just have to complain for the sake of complaining:confused3

Not to knock anyone with legitimate complaints (there will always be bad experiences in any vacation) but do not let them tint your view of what you are looking for on your vacation. Just focus on the good and vacation can and is still fun:banana:

Definitely true. I've said many times that some people on here go to WDW too often. I'm sure some people are fine with this...they go once or twice a year and just enjoy it. But if you're going often AND you notice things like burnt-out lightbulbs....you're not focusing on the right things.

Excellent advice...and I definitely want to have a great time! I think since my sister and I are usually more of the "make a plan and if you follow it...great, if not...awesome" type of vactioners that I don't think there's anything that could really go wrong to make it not great. Right now, I think my only "must do" is to get some really great pictures that I can scrap.

Great to see a post like this. It is kind of amazing how some folks complain. Can it get crowded? Sure. But that's when we tend to just stroll, take in the sights, and now we can just wait for the next FP window to come up while we enjoy the sights and sounds of being in the parks, which for us, is great on its own. We are also finding that extending our stay and spending less time in the parks each day really takes some of that stressy feeling out of the trips. We try to go 6 hours or so, and with our two little ones, that is enough. Trying to pack less into each day, allowing more time to enjoy the resorts, or try out a water park, or cruise the strip in DTD is a great way to break up the day.

Relaxation is really just a choice.

Bravo! Well said!!

I love it! Great post! I am a teacher and we are leaving 2 days after school lets out for an anniversary trip! We went for 5 days in Oct and the second we got home, I knew I had not had my fill! It's been a rough school year, as we did started to unsuccessful rounds of IVF, had a cancer scare, and currentlly have shingles! A day in Disney sounds like heaven no matter what others are saying about it!! my 48 day countdown is what is keeping a smile on my face right now! :cool1:

Been there. Hope it works out as well for you as it did for us - but quicker.

I agree and I'm glad to hear someone had a positive experience. I've been on Peter Pan twice since it rolled out and even with AP I can never seem to get on it! Seems like it's been 2 years or more since the last time I rode, the lines are just unbearable and the que is ... Not very magical

I love the system. Looking forward to passing the learning curve!

Got mine for SDMT on June 1 too!!!
