I have to say how much I love the DIS Boards! I'm so addicted! I actually found it while searching for Sea World info (ironic, huh?) for our recent trip as I had not been there in many, many years because we always go to Disney... As an (almost) lifetime Florida resident, I have been fortunate enough to visit Disney World more times than I can count and have stayed on-site with some really great deals. I might have even considered myself a little bit of a Disney expert, which is why I never did more research other than look up dates/times and the like on the Disney website. I have to say, now that I have hooked into the DIS Boards, I had no idea how much I was missing!!

Thank you to all of you true Disney experts who are good enough to share your wisdom and thank you to all of the newbies who ask the good questions to keep us all up to date. And last but not least, thanks to everyone else for sharing your experiences and excitement with us - it's contagious!

I 'll try to gather my thoughts to list my trips and resort sites and maybe even think up a trip report or two (we were just in MGM for the Millionaire tapings in January, did MK & Epcot in June 05 ... ) I can't wait to go again and to re-discover Disney!

Thanks for the feedback! Just out of curiousity, I haven't come across any FL resident threads, are there any, even old ones? I'm interested because many of the FL resident specials (ex. 3-Day Play Passes) and last minute deals are great opportunities to get another visit in on a long weekend and such. I would love to find out that I've been missing something else really special so that I can rectify that! :car:

I love DIS too! I've learned so much! But, I've failed to learn about lime green and what it's meaning is. :confused3

I've found the "Useful Info for Newbies" thread here in the Welcome forum is full of info when I come across something that leaves me feeling out of the loop. In fact, here is the answer to your question as quoted on that post:

Why do people wear lime green ribbons or buttons? Lime green has become the "official" color of the DIS. Many times DISers wear lime green ribbons so that other DISers can recognize them. The DISers who originated the idea, did so to make sure it was an unusal color that would stand out. It's a way to get to meet other DISers.

Hi there "U Guys Made Me Ink"! I've seen you over on the Sea World boards! I hang out there sometimes too (have passes, so we go there a lot!)

I'm Hooked on the Dis boards as well!!!!!

As far as posts about the 3-day play passes go....I just asked a question about those the other day. Try the: Theme Parks Attractions & Strategies Board & go to search forum, then type in 3-day play. (I found some other posts about those passes there!) If you want to research FL residents I've found a lot of posts after typing "FL resident" in the search all forums box. Oh, also - Have you checked out the mousesavers site? (Sorry I can't type in the l link yet, I don't have enough posts to do that. Anyway, Lots of good info on the mousesavers site too & you can sign up for a monthly newsletter). Hope that helped! OK well see ya around the boards.....
:)

Hi! I admit I've been using the Sea World forum more because it was so helpful when planning our trip ("PEPSI code, anyone?) and I love being able to respond to others' questions to "pay it forward"!. We went ahead and got the passes thru the end of the year so I can't wait until they open the new show and rides. I love the Disney threads but as I am still using them to learn about the many things I've been blissfully unaware of that there is so much more to learn about Disney even after dozens of visits over the last 28 years!

Thanks for the FL resident info. I will look thru 'em. I just signed up for mousesavers this week thanks again to DIS and I can't wait to share some helpful info with others... hopefully?! :disrocks: :thanks:
