Phew! I was starting to worry about my Marriott upgrade offer.. because my statement closed on the 18th for the one I made the purchase on, and usually my points show up in my Marriott account in 2-3 days and they're still not showing. But I just opened my statement (because it would have made too much sense to do that right away when it closed) and I can see the upgrade points on there.

My account closes on the 24th so now I know when to look for my 50K points. Let me know when you get your free night, as I should be just a week behind you.

I hadn't seen my MR's from my Gold card and I had checked this morning. Because of you, I was on Amazon looking at the wallets and I decided to get one. When I got to the payment screen it asked if I wanted to pay with MR's. No, but there were my 50K plus what I already had! Nice surprise!

I have HRH booked for the late Jan trip I am surprising my boys with at Christmas. But we need a hotel for the 1st night. Debating staying at the Renaissance Seaworld (using my free night cert since it’s a Cat 4) and using the second day of our voucher or offsite at Universal with an early/quick drive over to HRH and then 3 days at Universal. Any recommendations for a Marriott option near Universal?

Did you check in the early am? For some reason MR don’t seem to appear until later in the morning. I know when I checked once at 6 am nothing but at like 10 am they were there. So strange since you would think the updates would be happening overnight and be available in the am.

Curious about this a well for a potential trip back in the fall. I think my brief research showed a Four Points Sheraton and residence inn. I think the Sheraton was a bit closer with better reviews but the Residence Inn has breakfast.

@tink1970 or anyone else who knows about the Amex flight credit and Delta. Please help!

I already have 5 $50 gift cards. 2 for the Gold, 2 for Biz Plat, and 1 where I messed up and ordered it from my ipad. I am looking to buy flights first week of April for the Star Wars race weekend and want to use my companion certificate. Flights are expensive since such a short trip and not any wiggle room with dates, but I am tired of waiting for it to come down more. If I buy now and use Biz Plat the companion certificate fees should credit right? (If it credits I can justify the flight cost).

If I wait to buy I am thinking I might just use the boost your mileage function for our January trip. Any idea if that would bill now and credit? Or should I just suck it up and get 2 more gift cards and call it good?

I actually read most of the thread on flyer talk on Delta, but I don't want to post there and my precise question hasn't been answered.

:rotfl2::rotfl2:
I didn't notice that!

That's what I figured, it looks similar sized to my current one which has two sections, each with 4 card slots on each side (16 total) plus 2 big pockets, and one section has a zipper pocket in the middle for change. So I figured this is wortha shot and it's free returns.

Haha I think we must have the exact same wallet! Mine is exactly like that too. I can’t even remember where I got it.

My last PNC took 6 weeks, still waiting this round but it's only been 1 week. I was on the long end of the wait at 6 weeks last time. They batch process. It seems to be they process bonuses out over a few days for everyone who met the requirements as of a week or 2 before.

I read to wait for the debit card before attempting to log into the acct. I still don't have the card so I haven't done the deposits yet.

Waiting on my link :) Their support seems rather slow so I'm hoping it comes soon or the $100 promo is extending, but even at $50, it's a quick and easy $50.
I finally got it all set up to push from Chase and did that this morning, waiting for it to hit.

Still waiting on my PNC debit card so I can set up that acct and finish that one. How long does it take to receive that? I just need to learn patience lol
Keep an eye out- my link just came through!

Sorry it took me so long to respond. I have had the credit trigger for fees on an award ticket as well as a change fare ticket so I would think any fees would kick in but of course I can't promise that. I just remember being sort of shocked (and annoyed, since I was going to buy gc and ended up having the fees count). It's worth a shot if you can tolerate the risk.

PS-have fun running the SW race-I injured myself and had to quit running before I could do that series.

Hello all you wonderful people! Here's my question of the day:

DD would like to build up her credit. She has a credit union Visa, but would like to get a points earning card. We looked at that CFU offer that was talked about for college aged kids, but it looks like it's cash back. Any suggestions?

I’m pretty sure @Lain knows where you live, when you woke up AND what you ate for breakfast. Actually... @Lain... ummm SANTA...is that you????

one thing ive told ppl is to build a nice stash of UR with CFU or CF... once ur ready to travel, apply for a CSR/CSP and transfer points from CFU/CF to it and travel. could work for ur DD as well.

That's what I was suggesting, but the offer looks like it's $200 cash back instead of URs. This confused us since we all thought CF and CFU were UR cards, not cash back ones.
