can someone explain the target cvs using a target gift card to pay for prescriptions?

I've bought Target gc's during Kroger's 4x fuel promo to save on gas and then used them at the Target (CVS) pharmacy. Occasionally they try to scan the wrong barcode, but thats the only issue I've had.

Ahhh . . . I don't have MR but I did the similar UR offer. I could not get Amazon to charge my gift cards after paying with 1 UR point. Amazon was forcing me to use my Reserve since that is the card linked for UR's. So I ended up paying with 1 UR point and charging the remainder to the Reserve. Not terrible but wish I could have paid with gc's instead.
You should try again. This happened to me from Monday-Thursday of this week, but as of Friday it's back to letting me pay with my gift card balance.

Man, why you gotta kill her dream of a nonstop LAX-RAR flight maybe going out of its way to stopover in NZ?
cuz she asked the same darn questions over and over and over and over again... lol
quite a weird girl imo lol. i must attract them a lot lol.
was up with her on cyber mon, literally 3 minutes left before she hooked the flight because she was going back and worth.

she also missed the google Fi deal too, buy phone, get phone value in travel credit. cuz she couldnt decide what phone lol.
The churners i deal with these days XD.

Can anyone verify Undercover Tourist gets reimbursed from Chase Travel Credit?? Read that on
Flyertalk but im skeptical. Just wondering if anyone has any data points.
Before the last price change it coded as travel.

I just give them the gift cards to scan or swipe. Used 4 last prescription for one of the kids since it was 22.xx. Cashier had no problem. Said I could have used more if I wanted to and it’s a great way to use the small dollar amt cards up.

:offtopic: I did my 7th refare today on our NCL Bliss cruise. Every time I think this might be the lowest, I must grab it. Saved over $1800 for 2 cabins so far. Which is awesome, but part of me wonders if that means we overpaid to start with? I think I'm too used to DCL prices to know what's a good price anymore. The refares are kind of a pain. I used to e-mail my TA, but then she left the agency and they didn't assign me a new TA, so now I call. I wonder who gets the commission? Usually I have to follow-up. Like today, she said she'll call me back and then doesn't. Will have to follow-up again tomorrow. The best was the guy last time, did it all while I was on the phone and sent the revised invoice right away. Wish I remembered his name, would ask to move the booking under him. Oh well, the agency rate is about 10% off the base fare, so I'll deal. :)

Quoting my own off topic post (less OT today, I promise!). Just did my 8th refare! The TA hasn't even sent the revised invoice on the previous one. But this TA I called up today did the new refare right away, I even got the invoice while I was on the phone with her. Made a point to get her name! Final payment is coming up, so maybe this is the last one.

While I was at it, paid off most of the balances with P2's CIP and my Citi Premier (trying to match category with MSR). Both are close to meeting MSR. Would have paid off more, but wanted to leave some leeway in case it drops again, lol. Hope I can make the CIP MSR before the statement closes in a few days. Don't need the URs right now, but just really, really want them, lol. Less excited about the TYs for some reason...haha.

Remember the SPG Biz earns 4x Marriott points at gas stations and restaurants. So it's not a terrible card for those purposes.

@Lain or anyone else - 4x Marriott Rewards on the SPG Biz or 4X Membership Rewards on the Amex Gold card. Which would you choose and why?

Right now, my gas goes on my Costco Citi for 4x - that's cash back for all intents and purposes.

But for restaurants I want to bulk up the Membership Rewards balance so it's gold card all the way for at least a bit.

So that leaves my SPG Biz out in the cold for a while, other than a minor once a month outing.

I'm seeing Amex Offers for spend $200 or more, get $40 back at Courtyard by Marriott, Fairfield by Marriott, SpringHill Suites by Marriott, and Four Points by Sheraton, all four offers expire 1/31/19.

Spend $200 or more, get $60 back at Hyatt Place & Hyatt House, expires 1/1/19.

There's also a spend $225 or more, get $45 back at DoubleTree by Hilton, expires 1/31/19. (Sorry if this is old news.)

The Hyatt one is new news to me. I haven't seen it. I've already got my $40 back for Courtyard.

I'm way back a few pages, but going to ask something quickly. If I get $300 worth of Amazon gift cards from Best Buy (I have the AMEX 10% off deal) can I use them at amazon online to buy more gift cards, using 1 MR, for the AMEX Amazon deal? Last time we tried the Amazon deal it was picky and made us use a specific AMEX card to pay for the order.

Just realized I can do partial payment online for insurance (duh!). Did $200 on my AmEx for the 10% back up to $20. Another $200 on DH's. The balance on his CIP. Will buy Target gift cards tomorrow for 10% off with his CIP, then whoop whoop MSR met!

This is great! I tried hard on this one but could only split the premium in half with State Farm (and there was a small fee to do it). So not the full 10% for me but still good.

I think (not @Lain but watching football so I'll chime in) it really depends on what your points/miles goals are for the near and/or distant future.

If you have goals requiring Starriott points soon then I'd keep using the SPG Biz. If you don't, then stockpile the MRs--they are so much more flexible and the transfer bonuses that occur every so often can make them even more so. We just sockdrawered the SPG Biz after using it for gas for the 10% discount over the past several months---if that (or something else) returns then I'll be pulling it back out. Now back to using my Gold Biz for 3x on gas...unless a better amex offer comes along.

And happy dance for me today...noodling around searching for the Amazon amex offer (which I still don't have on 5 AU cards, 5 personal cards and 5 biz cards :sad1:) but under "featured offers" I had the enroll in Pay Over Time Enrollment for another 10,000 MRs. Whoo hoo:banana:-- what's better than 2,000 for spend...free 10,000 MRs!

I have ALL of these on my BCP and NONE on my SPG BIZ. AMEX KNOWS I'm trying to collect Marriot points and is doing its best to thwart me! :badpc:

Is the Amazon/Chase UR $15 off deal targeted ? I have been trying for the last two days to get it to apply with no luck.

For a bonus category spend that earns either 4x Marriott points or 4x Membership Rewards, I don't think you can go wrong putting the spend towards Membership Rewards, since you can transfer 1000 MR to 1000 Marriott. MRs are definitely more flexible, but you can probably get better redemption value out of them with airline transfer partners.

Target often runs sales on diapers and baby supplies. We especially loved the spend $100 on baby essentials, get a $15 Target gift card deal (or spend $125, get $20 gift card). A lot of diaper boxes are priced at $24.99, so buy 4x (or 5x), and throw in a small pack of $0.99 baby wipes to hit the magic number. We’d stock up during these kinds of sales.

The REDcard is good for 5% off, but you can’t stack the REDcard with Target gift cards anymore for an additional discount, and you can often buy Target gift cards at what I’d consider better than 5% cash back. Office supply stores and the Gyft app sell Target gift cards, so you could earn 5x UR with a Chase Ink Cash (you could downgrade your CIP to a CIC, but if you’re under 5/24 I’d apply for the CIC separately and get the 50k UR bonus). Grocery stores also sell Target gift cards, so you could earn 4x MR with an Amex Gold or 6% cash back with an Amex Blue Cash Preferred and probably earn gas rewards.

Babies are expensive!
Babies ARE expensive! Do the CIP and CIC count against the 5/24?

I know my SIL loves target because they have good baby deals. We have a red card but it might be better to get the gift cards like you said. We have lots of time before that needs to happen though

I reffered DH to the Hilton basic (no language email) and he got a 'we're thinking about saying yes' page:faint: what does this mean?
I never get approved automatically. I always get asked for verification. It could be something simple like verification. If no pop-up, DH should be eligible for the bonus once he is approved (thinking positively).

Can Walgreens cashiers split tender at the register? If so, how many times? Anyone know?
