I love credit cards so much!

I posted last week about the AA credit card in flight offer...both my husband and I were approved!!! Now fingers crossed we will have enough points to cover our flights next Thanksgiving

Another question for anyone who flies out of Philly...Looking for parking options (10 days)...we have a credit on Groupon so I’ll be checking any offers on there. Just curious if anyone has any good recommendations!
Thanks!

Lol some people have no awareness of their surroundings. I mostly find it funny until I have to dodge their double wide stroller or scooter last minute and break my ankle
Yeah understand that. DH and I both said maybe she was trying to see how many pictures she could get in. Who knows but she was in at least 40 min of pics since I saw her there while they got in line for the ride.
For AP rate at Uni, do you need to show your AP at check-in or just during your stay? I am planning to get them in advance online but I believe I will need to go to the resort desk to get the actual pass and since we will be checking in very late, we probably won’t have the actual passes until the morning.
I was told you just need to show it before check out.

Anyone good at searching the thread? Someone Kindly posted a link to book AP rate at universal for me in the last few days and I can't figure out how to dig it up. :(

In other news, the WDW site was clunky all week (more than usual) and now MDE flat out isn't working to show my plans at all. Grrrrr:headache:

Any idea when in. May 2019?

May 1. Like they tried for this year but failed spectacularly, so they pushed it off into 2019. That way everyone who applied for the $49 card got at least 1 unrestricted free night like was advertised.

@kidsfirsttrip were you asking about the PNC banking bonus? I thought I saw something a while back but I was on my mobile and can't post well...if you failed the verification 3 times and get locked out, the DP's I have seen is to wait a month to try and reapply. When I was meeting my MSR for my CIP I failed the online verification and was locked out, I haven't tried to open one since then; I've moved on to AMEX MSR right now. If you don't need the credit card funding if you are locked out you could go in branch to open an account.

Actually, last few times we parked in the economy lot. When I priced out the coupons for the outside lots they were either the same or slightly higher when you add in the taxes. Knock on wood, we've been lucky with the bus. Before that the Parking Spot got the most visits. They are usually priced in line with everyone else when I have a coupon but I see their shuttles more often. Winner Airport Parking had been good for us but they're more pricey, especially since hubby always wanted to pay for the 'leave from the airport' service. I think he's finally agreed they've priced themselves out.

If it's a short trip we'll park but if it's a longer trip it's usually cheaper to get a shuttle service. We use Dave's Best Limo for that.

Congratulations!

The Amex airline fee credit is typically limited to incidental fees, like bags and in-flight amenities, etc.; however, it's known to reimburse gift cards from AA, Delta, and SW. If you want to bank the value of this credit as a gift card, you'll have to select one of these three airlines. You can trigger the credit by buying 2x $50 Delta gift cards in separate transactions, or a $100 gift card for AA or SW. Then you'd do this again when the airline credit resets on 1/1/19. When you're ready to do this, let us know and we can walk you through it in more detail. It's always best to check the latest DPs before purchasing gift cards to use the airline credit, because technically gift cards are excluded.

However, you may have been approved a week or two too early to triple dip the airline credit.

The first billing statements on my recent personal Amex cards closed about 24-26 days after approval, but I've had a Hilton Biz statement close as fast as 13 days after approval.

You have 30 days from the closing date of the billing statement on which the (2nd year) AF appears to cancel your card to get a full refund of the AF. The 1st year AF is billed at the end of your 1st month's statement. The 2nd year AF is billed at the end of the 13th month's statement. After that, there's no refund.

You'd want your 13th month's statement to close at earliest a week into December 2019, which would give you 30 days from then (at least a week into January 2020) to use the third calendar year's airline credits. However, your 1st and 13th statements may close in late November, which would not give you enough time to use the airline credit in January 2020 before you have to cancel the card for a refund.

The Amex Gold is a solid card now that it earns 4x MR at restaurants and supermarkets, has a $100 airline fee credit, and a $10 monthly dining credit at the Cheesecake Factory, Shake Shack, Ruth's Chris, and GrubHub/Seamless, so if it's a keeper card for you, then double dipping and triple dipping the airline credit loses its value.

Dang! I knew I was going to mess up . Oh well, it will probably be a keeper card for him. The 4x groceries and dining sounds perfect for us.

Well, I was just approved for one today. And that was after I read the posts here and knew I couldn't triple dip. It's going to be a keeper card for me unless something really changes. And it's pink! :goodvibes:

Thanks! Didn’t think of hidden fees when pricing other places out. Will definitely watch out for taxes/etc.

Philly has crazy parking taxes in general, so definitely read the fine print to see what's additional to the rate. Sometimes they give you the percentage to add in fine print. I want to say I add 20% to the daily rate, but it's been a while since I looked as we've used the economy lot where tax is included in the flat rate or the shuttle the last 3 or 4 trips.

Dosh hates me I swear. Three different stores/restaurants, none of them tracked. Back to opening up support tickets and fighting for my cash. Yes, I'm cheap enough to battle over $1.50. :confused3

The positive is I finally remembered to start using my Hilton Amex, so the spend today went toward hitting my special Hilton points offer. And yes, I added that card to Dosh (and RMN!) first.

Oh wow...Need to change plans. Thanks for letting me know.

Do theme park tix count towards “travel” on the CSR? Wondering if I buy directly from USO if it will go towards my $300 travel credit or merely towards my MSR? I’ve been kind of waiting for an amex offer from Undercover Tourist, but am going to have to buy eventually either way. Trip is in mid December.
