The stupid Marriott game continues to not work for my account. I finally decided to email their customer support. She said it was because I was not enrolled in the promotion that went along with it. Did it say you had to enroll in the promotion? I keep trying to enroll my DH in it and it says that his account is not eligible for it. :confused3 I didn't even think to apply for the promotion on my account because I don't actually use my account. lol It is just a holding place for my CC points. Anyway, she said that she enrolled me in promotion and game should work. So I play and I get Thanks for playing here is your entry. Boooo Still no points, but weirdly this is 2nd time I was able to get that far in the game, both times 0 points. Every other time it went straight to Error Try again. So today I try to play again and wouldn't you know, I get Error Try again! Ughhh super frustrating! So I reply back to the same person, Thanks for trying to help, but it is still not working. I am sure she thinks I am doing something stupid, and honestly I would too! But it is working every day for my DH and on different browsers, so not sure why it is not working for me. They emailed me back and thanked me for being a loyal Marriott customer and gave me 5,000 points for my troubles! yay That is way more points than DH has gotten and his has worked every day. I think he has gotten 1000 once the rest 50s.

Jealous! There have been several days when both DH and I received no points, today was one of them, so it may have been working properly.

On a happy note, got back from Aruba last night to find my 100,000 URs from Sapphire DD in August. :dogdance:
 
Anyone know if Chase travel can book the Uni onsite hotels using the AP rate and URs to pay? On my $300 travel credit should be kicking in so maybe I could just pay OOP, if not.

I think it did work twice when I got the Here is your entry screen. Every other time it went to Error Try Again then Oops you have already played. DH has also gotten several of the no points Here is your entry.

Wow! That's actually much better than the hundreds of points we've accrued getting either 50 or zero each day. :)

I can't remember who, but someone tried that awhile back and was unable to do so. But with all the changes recently, I guess it can't hurt to try again.
 
I’m still working on my SPG Lux and really no good deals. A few restaurants I saved ‘just in case’ but most are either far away or places we never eat at. Of course I still have 10% off Lowes and Staples but those are on SPG Biz, not Lux :(

I totally get this. We get different offers on different cards, but usually not on the ones we want. It's annoying the way it's targeted.
 
I feel left out on the KA talk. Lol. I think my mixer was probably $20 at Walmart. I always think I want a KA, but last year my DH suggested we buy one and I said no. I don’t have room on my counters and I really don’t like to cook/bake. I like the idea of it, but I don’t think I’d use it anymore than my hand mixer, which isn’t that often. I just used my mom’s to make something and I was telling my friend it was a flop. She told me I needed a stand mixer, because she tells me that often. Lol But she didn’t know I was using one and the recipe still didn’t turn out right. So I guess it won’t magically make me a good cook or someone who likes to cook so I will stick with my cheap easy to store version.
I am with you. I got one of the really nice ones with the height adjuster for a wedding present and ended up returning it since I knew it would not feel any love.

Of course, I went to Starbucks and they're out of red cups for their promo, and their app was down so you could only pay and not reload :sad2: Then the Chase Pay app tried to tell me I had a jailbroken phone and my phone needed to be restored to factory settings :confused3

How do people feel about the Disney CCs? Seems like a low return on spending

You're not wrong :) They're great for the perks but I don't put much spend on mine anymore since they've been few and far between on promotions. Last year they did 4% back on utilities and insurance so we threw all that on there as it was the best return we had at the time, but after that I haven't charged anything on it since Jan. I had my Netflix subscription setup on there just to keep a charge on it but I got enough "free" GC's from Swagbucks that I paid for the whole year with those.

You're best return on most things are going to be sign up bonuses for new cards. If you're not into that, then basically putting your spend on almost any other card is going to be the same or better return than Disney. A few years ago I wised up and figured out if I put all the spend I was throwing at the Disney card at 1% onto my Chase Freedom card, also at 1%, instead of using the Disney rewards at Disney for free, I could charge my Disney spending and then use a statement credit to pay it off. So still free Disney stuff but I earned more rewards on top of it that I could either turn around back into Disney or use it for any other aspect of a trip.

If you welcome new CCs, then most sign up bonuses are going to get you double digit returns. Some folks here don't do category spend, it's all money towards MSRs (minimum spend requirements) because that's the biggest return in either cash or points that can get you free (or next to it) trips.

I get a dm response taking longer, but thought more than a day is silly. So they responded after an hour or so and now I have my birthday elite night credit and my missing MAGC points

Does it have a “special,” ie more expensive, price too?
As others have said, I’d be likely to break it. Within 1 week of installing new tile floors in our kitchen both DH and I broke something glass Fortunately the floor wasn’t damaged.

Yep. I have 2 metal bowls with handles plus the extra paddle with the scraper edge.
 
Yay! I am excited to report at least some of the Alaska excursions I was looking into are on the UR portal. There were lots of options pre-Expedia and only 2 after Expedia change over. Now there are more and I booked our whale watching excursion for 25k points. I didn’t do my usual exhaustive research on the tour company and details but I booked anyway in case it disappears since it’s refundable. I booked a float plane excursion before the change but it’s non-refundable.
 
Question on the IHG cards. I know there was some hubbub about the free nights awhile back. I currently have the $49 fee card. I just got a mailer to upgrade to the $89 fee card, for 5000 points with one purchase. It mentions that next year the free night for that card will be for 40000 point values. What is going to happen to the $49 card next year if I keep it the way it is?

Accounts that have not been upgraded yet will be eligible for the unrestricted Anniversary night up until May 2019.

Correct. It is a low return and there are far better options. We all had to start somewhere and I started with a Disney cc. Now, it sits in a drawer. We got a very friendly group so feel free to ask questions and we will all be happy to guide you.
 
I just was instantly approved for the CIP! So excited! :banana::cheer2::dancer: I was expecting the 30 day message, especially since this is my 3rd Chase biz card (SW and Marriott). Great way to start a Friday! I meant to apply yesterday but was so busy yesterday I didn't get a chance. I actually received the largest credit limit I've had so far on any biz card, my previous two were only 5k, this was 9k. Not sure if it's because I used household income instead of just my personal income maybe?

Quick question - what number do I call to request to have it expedited? Or can I SM from my existing Chase login? Thank you!

Has anybody have really weird things going on with the INK cards lately?

I've had my CIC for about a month now and when I tried to make the first payment, it wouldn't let me add my Chase checking account to pay it off. Called Chase and the IT guy said it was a glitch on some of the accounts in which I'd have to combine my personal and business into one. We did it and everything worked out perfectly. I was able to make a payment no problem.

Now I'm at about a month out and noticed that I don't have a statement closing date and none of my charges are "showing" in the app. I have to search for all transactions made to see anything that I bought... ever since I've had the card. I opened the CIC on 10/13 and my due date for my next payment is on 12/3.

I know the Chase Business cards have a mind of their own, but this is just really weird.

No help with the app since I log into the website on my iPad...but I have noticed that to see my transactions ...I have to hit...”see all transactions” instead of the default “transactions since last statement” ...to have them show up..
I’m going to guess based on how my first statements have closed yours will close the end of November

I know a lot have answered and confirmed the return on the Disney CC points isn't the best. There are definitely better rewards cards out there if that is your goal.

I primarily opened and use mine for the Disney perks like 10% off $50+ merchandise, early cardholder access to sales such as Friends and Family, additional room discounts/free dining promos, character meets in WDW, etc. If these things interest you, it may still be a decent option. It will just take up a slot in your 5/24 and restrict your other Chase applications for a small period of time.
