DoC updated his post about Plastiq's Get 1 FFD per $1 Spent with Mastercard promo, which runs until the end of October: "it’s been confirmed that Mastercard gift cards are working to trigger the promo as well."

He's referencing this comment:

Staples has a $5 off $200 Mastercard Gift Card deal going on this week until Saturday, 10/27. There's a $6.95 activation fee on the $200 MCGCs, so the $5 off brings it down to $201.95, and the CIC earns 5x UR at office supply stores. If you still have the Staples Amex Offer for a 10% statement credit back, that's another option.

Lowe's also sells MCGCs up to $200 with a $6.95 activation fee (3.5%), but there's also an Amex Offer for a 10% statement credit back at Lowe's.

Grocery stores also sell MCGCs up to $500 with a $5.95 activation fee (1.19%) and earns 4x MR on the Amex Gold. (On a $500 MCGC, you can pay up to $487.80 with the 2.5% Plastiq fee to fully liquidate the MCGC, and get ~487 FFDs back in November.)

This plastiq offer is targeted, right? I never got an email but if open to all, I want in!

Is it still just the CSR and Freedom support links that are not working? Do we need to remove them from DISchurners, or just let them hang out to see what happens?

I'm trying to decide what our next move is. I thought companion pass but I am second guessing that. I don't think we would have it in time for our flight in February and we only have one trip planned in 2020 domestically. Of course if we had the pass we might plan more, but I wonder if it would be better to focus our efforts somewhere else. I have had my eye on Amex or CIP for my husband. We are planning an Italy trip in 2020. Have LOTS of spending coming up. He opened CSP and Venture on 9/30 and we have met both MSR. I think he is 3/24.

Hm, so it's by processing date too. So that really gives us a few days into November, as long as it's processing by the 31st. I may have to revisit this... Wonder how quickly I could get DH approved for SW Biz :ssst:

If you feel you’d get more value out of other cards then don’t go for the CP
Since he opened the CSP less than a month ago...I’d have him apply for a Amex business card to keep him at 3/24.....then do the CIP application around 12/1

Are you applying for cards as well ?

I see my dear wife broke in her new CIU while in Japan -- after I told her do not take the CIU to Japan because it does not waive foreign transaction fees!

What does she usually take along with her?

Yay! called chase bc I'm impatient and want the freedom now so I can get my shopping done at bjs before my membership expires at the end of the month. So apparently chrome and chase apps arent getting along very well right now. She said they have been having trouble. She looked and couldn't find my application so said it was safe to apply again. I didn't use the log into account this time. Auto approved and called back and they are rushing my card so hoping to have it by Friday now since it takes two days and I missed them getting it out today.

the tracker said $0-$75. I thought it was $1500 a quarter. did I miss something?
I was approved for a CSP Friday afternoon, SM’d them asking for a rush delivery, and received today.

Her CSR, and I also had her take her SPG Biz to put some ongoing spend on it. Both don't have FX fees.

I did tell her generally to use the CSR for everything dining and travel related, and the CIU for everything else. BUT, before she left for her work trip to Japan, I told her do not take the CIU because it doesn't waive FX fees. This is a woman who hates carrying more cards in her wallet than necessary and HATES PAYING FEES. She nonetheless took the CSR, CIU, and SPG Biz, but only used the CSR and CIU. :sad2:

@kidsfirsttrip @speedyfishy Update from last Friday on the bank manager calling me.

He called because he got a message from the back office wondering as to why I was depositing large amounts of money orders. Told him I was making money from cc points to be honest. Told me he would note that and send it back to the back office. Told him flat out, and not in a rude way, that money order deposits can't be all that uncommon and $4.5k didn't seem like a lot (I was using a couple other banks but didn't tell him) and he agreed with me. Will see what happens. Not the end of the world if it gets shutdown.

Hope it goes ok!! Good thing to have other options

Yes I am applying too. I was denied recently for having too many recent inquiries. (I only had 2) I was thinking he might have a better shot than I do at the next card. He is totally on board for business cards, they make me a little nervous. I've been reading up on them but still find it stressful.

im not sure... i clicked on mine a few days ago and it still seems to work... :\

edit: nvm, i just try them now, they have died.

Does anyone here use Boxed.com? I have the Amex offer plus DoC posted about some other offers available to new customers. Wondering what kind of experiences people have had with them.
I think Boxed is great! I may have a support link on DISchurnere too ;) haha.

I’ve always been able to find a promo code for every order LOL!
