I love credit cards so much!

We just did a cruise Southbound from Alaska. We flew in 10 days beforehand and did some traveling via RV. How much time do you have, and what kinds of things do you like to do? We went to Denali, Seward, and Homer. We've never traveled via RV before, but really enjoyed it. Plus, we were able to camp down in Denali which was terrific. Honestly, I think Denali was the most beautiful place I've ever been. You need a few days there though to increase your chance of seeing THE mountain (we had one cloudy day and one sunny one - not sure what the weather is like in September). Car rentals one way from Anchorage to Fairbanks will be outrageous. You might want to think about round trip Anchorage. PM me if you want help. Alaska in simply incredible!

We took a trip to Alaska in 2017, and we also went to Homer, Seward and Denali. It was all absolutely beautiful, but my personal favorite was Seward. We did a boat tour of Kenai Fjords National Park and it was amazing! We were near Denali for three nights and we didn't get to see the mountain.:rolleyes2 This was in the beginning of August.

What is there fun to do in the Orlando area for cheap? We fly into MCO at the end of October for a wedding in the Melbourne area. We will arrive on a Thursday night and don't need to be to the wedding area until Friday night, so we have about 24 hours. I had originally thought we would do Kennedy Space Center but did not realize it was so expensive! I'm looking for cheap/free. This wedding is already setting us back quite a bit between flights/hotels and gift. Ok, well, flights are technically free, but it was a lot of points. I swear it was the most expensive point weekend for SW to MCO. I guess busy Disney time as I think at least 3 or 4 on this thread were going during the same time. I suppose if nothing else we could go to Disney Springs for a few hours, but, blasphemy here, it is not high on my list of things to do and even lower on DH's list. We spent about an hour there in June and that was plenty of time. I am thinking seeing manatees, or other Florida unique things. Our wedding hotel is on the beach, so no beach either.
You aren’t crazy. Dh and I aren’t fans of Disney springs at all.

I hope I get it! But haven't gotten anything new in the last week, not since the 5 of 25 showtime one.

I added every offer one afternoon to my account so it would be easier to scroll through to check and now nothing new - yet!

This particular offer was a little different. It was listed in the middle of the charges as a pop up (on the app at least). That is why I wonder if I had missed it before. My statement closed yesterday and I was glancing through it wondering as usual how it all added up to so much...

I agree about not loving Disney Springs. @WVMomof3 what if you went over to Ft Wilderness and hung out? Look at horses etc. I think they have archery classes and other activities there.

How long does it usually take to get the Priority Pass in the mail...I registered for it 8/15 and haven’t received anything in the mail yet

We did that in Seward too. The one we did was the Northwestern Fjord cruise. We went on a terrific hike near Seward too - the Harding Ice Field trail. It was difficult but the views - oh my gosh! We had to hike through a bit of snow at the top, which was a first for us. So beautiful! Bummer about Denali. I think the statistic is only 1 in 3 visitors get to see the mountain. The weather is definitely unpredictable!

I have read lots of posts here about banking bonuses, but have never bothered. Today in the mail I got a flyer from KeyBank for $400 if I deposit $500 in a checking account. "Normal account service charges and balance requirements apply to these accounts". I'll have to research those fees.* This is a targeted offer with a reservation #, but folks in the Pittsburgh area may want to keep an eye on their mail.

*Looks like I have to do 8 transactions a month to avoid fees. I know I read about those somewhere in this thread! Very helpful resource. There is a branch very near me so I'm thinking ATM withdrawals would count.

So the deal with frontier has to be booked by the 17th of this month (2 days from now). Should I consider the Hilton aspire to get the airline credit or not worry about it?

If you get lucky, you might be able to watch a rocket launch. The Kennedy Space Center website has a list of upcoming launches, and the SpaceX Falcon Heavy is currently slated to launch sometime in October. The date isn't set yet, though. If you're interested in the space center, seeing the Falcon Heavy take off would be awesome! DH and I watched the space shuttle launch from Titusville years ago, and it's one of the coolest things I've ever seen. Watching from Titusville is free, but you have to get there really early to get a good spot. The traffic out was horrendous after the launch, so allow a LOT of time if you are lucky enough to be around when it takes off and decide to go.

Does the CIC have referrals? I'd like to refer my DH to one but I'm not seeing any referrals online. I'm guessing no since why would one business refer another, right?

Definitely interested in whether you get the bonus 5x as well. I did not receive emails for any of my cards, and I have all of the cards that were targeted with emails. After hearing that it is a public offer, I plan to hit BB on Monday to buy a $200 Disney gc and pair with the Swagbucks offer. Figure I'll use my CFU to get 6.5x UR out of the transaction.
Please report back! If it works for you at 5x then I'll go this weekend.

Points just posted for my Best Buy purchase using Chase Pay.
I did not get an email about the offer, but did get the extra points. I spent $104 and got 626 in points. Nothing showing yet on swagbucks for me.

Edit to add: actually 206 points are pending on swagbucks for the 2x per dollar, but no sign of the 750SB bonus.

Did anyone that used the Amex offer for Walmart Grocery actually get the $10 credit? I didn't get the usual email when I used the offer, but sometimes that happens so I didn't think much of it. However, my statement closed with the purchase on it, but no credit. I tried chat and the csr "escalated" the issue. Ugh, I've heard that word too many times from Amex.

I just used this offer this week (Thursday I believe). Haven’t heard anything back yet. I have the offer on 2 other cards, so kind of waiting for it to post before I do that. I’m hoping the extra $10 off promotional offer from Walmart isn’t interfering. I think my total was $64. So $10 back from Walmart still put my purchase over $50.

I put a purchase through well over the $50 and no other promotions used. I didn't get my credit either. FWIW I ordered through the app but offer terms show the website. I'm not sure if app vs website makes a difference. I usually put an order in once per week so was going to place the order through the website next week to see if it triggers the offer.

anyone else see the DP on reddit that you can not use UR points to purchase Disney tickets and packages???

Wow. My first thought was misinformed TAs, because we know there’s been a lot of mixed messages from the Cruise and Tour Dept. before. But I just found the post, and OP was told by two TAs that this is effective yesterday.

Here’s the post if anyone’s interested: https://www.reddit.com/r/churning/comments/9g0oa0/comment/e617djp?st=JM3TLLOO&sh=e4e602d5

Just saw it. Don’t want to believe it.

Don’t shoot the thinker here but... There could be truth to it with Chase changing their backend travel providers. Connexions TAs I believe are the ones who booked straight with Disney, they also handled package transfers and cruise transfers. Chase is limiting or severing their Connexions relationship in favor of Expedia. IF this is true imho it’s possible Disney packages, tickets, transfers & other cruise line transfers could all be on the chopping block. I’M NOT TRYING TO BE ALARMIST. I SO want DPs that the reps were wrong (TOTALLY possible, they are a mess of information!) & that it still works. Maybe the only thing that changed is Chase has disallowed them to book anything Disney related.
