I love credit cards so much!

I’d like to confirm the date by which I need to meet the MSRs on my CSR and CSP double dip, but I’m reluctant to have someone look at my account because of the double dip. If I do ask, I would do it by sm and obviously only ask about one of the cards. Anyone done this or have reasons I shouldn’t? I could just estimate, but I like knowing the exact date.

I’ve contacted them by sm asking the same question...they got back to me with the date within a few hours

ok.... so I was using a visa gc at the costco register yesterday- it asks if I want cashback.... and I started wondering if this was an option....can I get cashback from this card? I input the last 4# for a pin at payment

Question about transferring UR points. Should I just let my P2’s UR’s sit in his account until I get my CSR? My plan is to DD the end of October. Right now our only UR cards are a CIP for each of us.

Just hanging out in the PP lounge at MCO by gates 1-29. Theres a few crazy folks in here.... trip was good, TSA here stinks, someone threw up this morning, and I dont know how many pages I have to catch up...

Lol I've stopped trying to catch up! We were in that lounge on Monday. LOVED it!!! Do they have the veggie lasagna today?

In my excitement yesterday of booking the FL trip, I forgot to mention that DH was approved for the Aviator Biz! He asked for the match to the 60k offer, but the rep told him they couldn't since he'd already been approved for the 50k offer. I know this is wrong, but honestly it's not worth it to try to get DH back on the phone with them again.

I want to thank everyone here for the tremendous outpouring of love and support during my DMIL’s time in the hospital and all your heartfelt condolences upon her passing.

We had her funeral in Hawaii last Friday, and had a more intimate farewell ceremony on Saturday. The turnout amazed and humbled us. My DMIL lived a very ordinary life, but so many family and friends who we hadn’t seen in a long time came from all over the island and flew in from the neighbor islands, and all her old colleagues from work came that we swore they must’ve closed the office for the day. And they all shared stories about how strong my DMIL was, because even though she battled a chronic illness for much of her later years, she never complained, and always radiated optimism and positivity; and most of all, how much she loved her daughters and granddaughter. Being surrounded by so much family and friends last weekend really helped start the healing process. We couldn’t have asked for better weather, too. Hurricane Lane lashed Oahu with heavy winds and rain a week earlier, but there was no sign the storm had even happened. The morning of the funeral started out with some passing showers that gave way to a rainbow, and it was sunny and breezy the rest of the day. We said our final goodbyes off a small beach that’s meant a lot to my wife’s family, where her parents had many dates, and the family enjoyed picnics, potluck, and fishing. That afternoon was beautiful. But as soon as we finished, a sudden sunshower came out of nowhere and drizzled on us for a minute. We took that as a sign from mom.

We’re still trying to get back to our routine, and you can all go back to our regularly scheduled program. To bring it all back to churning, I had to book four roundtrip tickets [twice for my wife] between SFO and HNL this summer and went through about 77.5k HawaiianMiles, 22.5k United miles, about 36k UR points, and a few dozen dollars in fees. Not too bad, considering most of the travel was booked last minute or just a few days before the long Labor Day weekend. I do not want to have to go through this again. But I'm thankful to have a diverse and deep enough pool of points and miles that we didn't have to worry at all about last minute travel costs.

@Lain I was able to add my MasterCard gift cards to Masterpass and use via Plastiq. Thanks for that idea! I wish this promo wasn't ending.

Edited: So sorry to hear about your DMIL. It sounds like the funeral was very nice though for all. Hugs!

Really beautiful words, @Lain. Glad you were able to give your DMIL a nice farewell.

I have tried Bancorp and Metabank Visas at the grocery store and Walmart and they always get declined.

Further Data Points on Delayed Chase Bonuses:

I've been reviewing numerous DPs discussed today on r/churning related to the Chase delayed bonus issue. I'm seeing comments related to numerous UR cards (both personal and business) as well as Marriott, Southwest, United. This is a widespread delay of bonuses posting.

With regards to UR cards, it's easy to see if your bonus will post as it will show up in the "Earnings on Next Statement" (aka what we refer to as "pending"). On other cards, you don't have this luxury so you just wait for the statement to close and hope your points are there. IF you see your points "pending" on the Chase Ultimate Rewards site - you are NOT affected by this issue.

However, for those that ARE affected - be aware that you are decidedly not alone. This is affecting both churners and non-churners. This is not typical. IF you contact Chase they will basically say one of a couple of canned phrases:
- Bonus points will appear in 1-2 statements after meeting MSR
- Bonus points will appear in 4-6 weeks after meeting MSR

As others have said here earlier today, I would not panic or be worried. Given the widespread nature, this is likely some sort of system issue or intentional delay on the part of Chase (although I personally doubt that one). It does not appear to be targeted at churners or double dippers or anything like that. Hopefully it is resolved soon! Obviously I feel for those who were hoping to get these points and book something with them, that would be very frustrating.

EDIT: if you want to read some of this go to the DQ and DD threads on r/churning for today and just search the word bonus. You'll see much discussion on the topic (moreso in the DQ).

Do you know if referral bonuses are posting in a timely manner? Just received CSP referral bonus but don't know if it's from DISchurners or ChurningReferrals. I have no idea when the link was used. Just trying to figure out if is was a DIS person that used my link or not. If it was THANK YOU!!!

I know! I liquidated $600 in MCGCs from the Safeway deal (4x $100s, 4x $50s) and $300 (3x $100s) from the Staples no-fee deal through the Plastiq Masterpass promo recently. It's tedious and time consuming making payments $50 and $100 at a time, but for no fee, a little savings, or 5x UR, I'll do it. I wish I had bought more and started earlier in the promo so I could make a bigger dent in our student loans for basically a small profit. I'm going to try a $500 variable load MCGC again and see if I can't also chip away at my Biz Plat and SPG Lux MSRs.

And thank you for the kind words and hugs!

My husband and I also each have a CIP...I’ve transferred his points to my CIP...just opened the CSR and then transferred the points from my CIP to it.
I’ve read on here that some have a problem transferring from two cards to one card

Yeah, but BBY doesn't allow GC>GC anymore so that takes some fun out of that possibility. (Although, I wonder if they would've treated GOC cards like prepaid cards because they carry an activation fee?) I guess there's Amex Offers, but no more multi-tab trick. The return from Swagbucks has been devalued, too.

I have a hard time meeting MSR these days. The Walmart money order route is dead here, so this gives me an alternative. The Best Buy rewards would mean a small profit.

So informed delivery yesterday tells me my Hilton BIZ is being delivered, finally, need to pay for some things. Guess what? We get no mail yesterday, they just didn't show up in our entire neighborhood. This morning I call and they tell me, some routes didn't get done yesterday, too much mail, and not enough drivers. UGH.

So what's the deal with the Gift of College GCs? I've seen some chatter about them but haven't paid close attention lol

Mine showed up yesterday too, it took 10 days to arrive. So frustrating.
