I have 3 options for our Disneyworld trip this weekend (Sat-Mon) with 2 pool days since we are only going to the parks on Sun (HS (EMMH), Epcot and AK):
YC- garden/woods view- 50067 points
POR- preferred- 36533 points
POR- standard- 32333
Which would you choose? We currently have 375k URs plus I have the CIU spend to do for add'l 50k points. I am so indecisive!
Thanks. Unfortunately, it's our 2nd park of the day since DS wants to see Pandora at night and HS has the Early hours.Yacht Club hands down. You can walk to Epcot and back if you make it your first or last park.
Should be able to do both on same reservation, at the end when entering passenger details and payment there's a box for 'apply unused travel funds' and you enter the confirmation number of the trip that has the funds. The passenger names have to match exactly for the funds to be used.I'm contemplating a last minute long weekend trip to WDW this month. Each of us has a SW credit from our last trip. Do I have to book each of us separately to use these? I'm not really sure how to apply them!
Wyndham Bonnet Creek is not a DVC property, but it is a Wyndham property. Barclays services the Wyndham family, and all redemptions are a flat 15,000 points per night.(Quote)
That is good to know. I'm always learning something new on here. Thanks! Looking at the Barclay cards I'm not sure I'd be able to get enough bonus points for a week stay. I did see that it's a flat 15,000 per bedroom when you are booking the resorts with more than one bedroom.
this is gold...I have never thought of this and always wanted to try the place out!!!! and possibly a reason to get another barclays card at some point....
What I do is have some sort of small bill auto charge to each card that I know I won't otherwise use. That way it shows some activity and everyone is happy. Thanks! Is it also frowned upon if I don't put any spend on the card after meeting the minimum and getting the bonus?
So that was interesting. Just called Chase Cruise and Tours (Alex). They said if I transfer my NCL cruise today the card I used for the deposit has to be the same card where they use my points and they will want me to use the points today. Also balance of the cruise will be charged on the same card today. I used Chase Disney to book it and all my points are on CIP.
nothing for tnThis is one of my favorite car rental deals. For those planning spring trips, they often run this promotion in the opposite direction around May. Previous years have also included southeastern states, hopefully they bring that back.
I haven't booked a cruise but I did just book the Yacht Club 2 minutes ago and it was super easy! If I were you since I believe NCL is offering $25 deposits, I would first book directly with NCL for the $25 and then transfer the cruise to Chase travel from NCL that way you can build up your UR balance and use more to offset the expense of the cruise since you shouldn't have to make another payment until the balance due date.Good Morning! Does anyone have any experience with booking cruises using Chase UR? I know there's a Cruise Dept that you can call but I'm wondering exactly how it works. We're looking at a Norwegian Cruise to Alaska next year. If I go on Norwegian's website, there is a current promotion that offers a choice of five options (free drink package; free specialty dining; etc) plus some onboard credit. Would I still be eligible for that promo if I book through Chase? And can they pick a specific cabin to book if I give them the cabin number? Also, we don't have enough points to pay for the entire cruise so could I use my points as the deposit and continue to make additional payments until the final payment due date or would I have to pay the entire balance when booking? Thanks for any info you can provide!!
YC for sure with 2 pool days. And the internal busses at moderates are so annoying.I have 3 options for our Disneyworld trip this weekend (Sat-Mon) with 2 pool days since we are only going to the parks on Sun (HS (EMMH), Epcot and AK):

With 2 pool days, definitely YC! Although I'm a biased BCV owner...
I’d choose YC....since you have 2 pool days

It's pretty nice. Barclays routinely increases the bonus to 45k total, so make sure you don't apply unless that's the bonus (usually it's 30k points after first purchase + 15k points after $2k spend). With some creativity + extra spend, you can get another 15k points after the first anniversary of the card. Wyndham is great with their points - everything is 15k per night. That means some really terrible Days Inns are equivalent in points cost to, I dunno, the Wyndham New Yorker. I don't know why they do it that way, but I'm happy to take it.
There is a list of agents on dischurners that others have worked with that are more helpful than others on this front. Check there. It is a HUCA situation, I believe. So that was interesting. I wonder if they are trying to spread them out for budgetary reasons or something? It is really weird. All of these reports of “Delayed Pending URs” is crazy! I wonder what is going on with Chase here...is it a system problem or is it intentional. We certainly aren’t going to get a clear answer from calling or an SM either. @PolyRob - I think you hit your MSRs on your double dip pretty quick. What’s your status on pending URs - see anything yet?
For those asking - all evidence I’ve seen is your base and category earnings are showing up. However the bonus is not. It’s a pretty recent issue so I don’t think I’ve seen anybody with 2 statement closes and still no points...
