I love credit cards so much!

We’re just starting our journey but was thinking about this (obsessively) after screen shoting it. I’m interested in the Amex offers I keep hearing about. If players can handle additional MSR is there any reason not to do something like this with Chase while also getting AMEX business cards between chase cards?

AmEx business cards has been my strategy while I decide whether I should get back under 5/24 to apply for another Chase card -- I'm actually leaning against it but until I decide for sure I'm avoiding more personal cards. One thing to keep in mind is that AmEx sign-up bonuses are once per lifetime, so you might want to prioritize those cards that are currently offering historically high bonuses.

I am about to apply for the Chase Ink Cash. I am using our rental property for our business. I forget how to fill in the revenue slot? Do I just put the rent we get paid each month? Do I add my real work income to it?

Flew out of SFO Terminal 3 on Thursday evening and had planned to check out Yankee Pier, one of the newly added PP restaurants. We've eaten there before and they serve decent New England food. I figured I had a better chance at finding something on the menu there that my picky DD5 would eat than at the Centurion Lounge. Unfortunately, we got to the airport later than I had wanted. Checked in at 5:40 p.m. with a 6:45 p.m. boarding time. I really need to get Global Entry for my daughter and me with all these premium cards I have. Went straight to Yankee Pier. It was bustling. Mostly single travelers. But I'm not sure if it was because of the addition of PP, or it was a Thursday evening before a long holiday weekend. A PP sticker was on its glass window at about knee-level. I also noticed their sign said they open at 5:30 a.m. when the PP site says 5 a.m. There were 2 people ahead of me, and several more parties quickly lined up behind me. There's no proper wait area so the line just kind of spills out into the hallway. The lady quoted me about a 15 minute wait, with another 20 minute wait for food. We didn't have the time, so I declined. I later told my wife about the new restaurant additions, and she seemed intrigued. We'll try again over Thanksgiving.

We went to grab a quick bite to eat, some fruits and snacks from the Centurion Lounge, which itself was packed with a lot of folks eating and drinking up against the wall. The lounge changed up the menu from the last time we visited about 2 weeks ago. Sorry, no time for pictures. No problem getting in, though; and I was able to swoop in and get a table just as someone was leaving.

We passed by the SF Giants Clubhouse on the way to our gate. There's a host stand that had a small sign showing two sample PP cards accepted. It appeared to be less crowded than Yankee Pier. Slight regret not trying this restaurant instead, but my kiddo isn't so much into ballpark/bar food. Again, maybe next time.

i remember there being 2 boxes, one for your personal income, the other for your business income. I myself also applied for chase business card with rental income. i applied all rent to business income and my personal income in the other box.

Revenue is gross annual rent. Do not deduct for expenses like taxes, insurance, utilities, maintenance, etc. There's a separate field where you can report (personal) income, which you'd include total household income.

Unless your rental is held in a business entity, trust, etc., use only your real name, FIRST (middle initial is ok) LAST as your business name.

I’m trying to set up the online account for my P2’s new IHG Premier. I can’t figure out what I’m doing. Do I set up a completely separate login from his CIP or should both cards show up on his CIP account login? Not sure how it works, business vs personal.

CVS, Walgreens and Staples have worked for me. I have not tried Kohls...do they sell Disney?

Thanks! I immediately got the notification from RMN for both Staples and CVS, did not try WG, and Kohls didn't have any 3rd party GCs. I thought they did at one time, but maybe only seasonally? Not sure.

I need some help with strategy. I will never be under 5/24 or 48 again, so full steam ahead. I'm trying to decide if I should get the Citi American 50k offer or the ThankYou Premier.

The other two cards I'm interested in are both CapOne - the Venture and the Savor.

I just don't know which to pick. I either needs points or cash for Vegas in April. The extra American miles are a nice backup for Barcelona if Delta doesn't work.

Apparently CapOne has the same rules as Chase - anyone have personal datapoints on that?

I've never personally had either a Citi or CapOne card. DH had the Prestige so he can't get the premier right now. He could get one of the CapOne cards tho...

Got an email from delta yesterday about linking my skymiles to lyft and earning a mile a dollar for rides. 2 miles per for rides to/from the airport. It included two $10 off rides so I'm using it instead of uber because it's cheaper. Still use my csr too so double dip. She isn't talkative and doesn't have the radio turned up so yay. Enjoying the sun before we enter the fog I can see over the hill.

Flight was an hour late and the baby slept the whole way. They were connecting to a flt to India so hopefully she'll sleep more or at least continue not crying and fussing for them.

Continuing the saga of this unexpected award booking:

I was up until 3:30 am trying to make this happen last night. I ended up searching every route that Emirates flies to and from the US. I’m a fan of positioning flights but this wound up being more convoluted than I expected. I wound up finding flights for 2 on Emirates using Alaska miles out of Houston in first on an A380 with a stopover in Dubai for a few days. It was 150k AS miles each, thank you Marriott Travel packages. The return also is going to be on Emirates but in business class. I didn’t have enough miles to get both of us in first. I wasn’t about to buy the miles to top up either.
We booked flights on UA paying with MR points to get back home from Houston. I still need to book our flights to Houston and I will likely do that today.

I managed to find 2 nights at the Conrad Maldives that allowed booking an overwater bungalow at the standard award rate of 95k Hilton points each. I wound up booking a regular room at the standard award rate on our arrival and departure days because the OWB rooms were over 370k points a night for those days! I will simply hope for an upgrade with the diamond status we have from the Hilton Aspire. Worst case scenario is a 4 night split stay at the Conrad Rangali Maldives with 2 consecutive nights in an OWB. I’m not complaining.

We need to book the seaplane flight from Male to Rangali and it is $526 per person. This has to be booked through the Conrad. I am going to see about each of us pre paying a charge to our room with the Aspire cards since they get a $250 resort credit each year and then making another pre payment with each card again in January which should bring our costs down to $26 per person each way.

I called Starriott last night to move our Al Maha desert resort booking from April to March. No dice. The agents are unable to do anything with the all suite bookings at the moment. I Allen the hotel in Dubai and they can’t access or change the reservation either. So this will be a work in progress and I will have to wait until their IT gets their act together. I see a daily HUCA to check and see if the system is working. Plus, I need to find a backup plan for the Dubai stay if switching the reservation winds up being impossible. The rooms are over $1000 per night. Time to get the thinking cap on.

This unexpected booking is becoming quite the adventure. #firstworldproblems

I hope you get the Al Maha sorted because I want to hear the review on it before I go in a couple years!

When I applied for the CIP....there were 2 slots for income....one was business...I’d put the rent here and the other was household...i would put rental plus all other household income

Which card are you going into? You need to go into your Freedom UR, combine points and then on the screen that @CyndiLouWho gave you, you should see the wording since it is the one that currently linked. Once you remove, you will probably need to wait 24 hours before you can link DH’s card to your CSR. You’ll want to get them daisy chained though. Once you connect DH’s to your CSR then connect your Freedom to DH’s card so you would then transfer Your Freedom to DH to your CSR.

@Alexle2007 - I looked at both Freedom and CSR but the wording "remove saved cards" was not there.

Have you tried combining via the Chase app? Once logged on click on your UR total at the very bottom of the home screen. Then from the left menu bar (3 dashes in upper left corner) select combine points. Sorry Chase is being such a pain for you.

@bernina - tried the chase app just now and still having the same issues.

Thank you both for trying to help!

I have the Chase Ink Cash card. Can I put my wife on as an employee to get another card? Does that come with the same rules as adding an authorized user, which i want to avoid?
Thanks so much!

Thanks! Me too. I’d rather not use UR points to book it but will for 2 nights if necessary and split stay elsewhere in Dubai.

You can add her as an employee..it’s not like adding her as an AU.....it will not go against her 5/24 count....there is a place to request the employee card online

I posted on the Disney GC thread but I figured I could ask here too...

I am planning on making a few stops today to pick up Disney GCs using the RetailMeNot app for the cash back. Has anyone found they did not receive credit for GC purchase at the following stores? CVS, Walgreens, Staples, Kohls

TIA!!
I just did cvs, Walgreens, and staples yesterday without issue. Never tried Kohl’s.
