I love credit cards so much!

Has anyone found the $25 Dis GC at their BB&B or BBB? I don't want to go to 2 diff stores to save 20% if they only carry $50 and I save 10%...I could do that at Lowes easier.

You may have trouble with lowes buying all $1000 at once. Some were having activation issue when they walked out. i personally did $400 and then $600. no problems. Amazon Gift cards were purchased.
Staples, i did the full $1000 and i did it online, i purchased Home Depot gift cards.

I was one of those with the activation issues. Bought 900 at Lowes, was charged, then the register spit out some paper stating only 2 $50 cards were activated and go to customer service and have the additional $800 refunded. They said their register only allows so much to be purchased in a day, but they don't know how much it is.
And to tie this into someones question on AMEX offers when you return something...AMEX credited me the full $90, even though Lowes immediately refunded $800. They have yet to take that back, a good 6-8 weeks later. I had the same with a Macys, made a return to put my purchase down to $5 below the required purchase, and they have no taken that credit back either. I was totally fine if they did, but they have not done so.

HAHAHA. If I were traveling solo I’d totally sit right down and let them make a fuss. If I were traveling with family I’d just glare and move on back though...

On my last SW flight a woman and her husband did just this. A woman was sitting at the window and told them she was saving the aisle and middle, and she was having none of it, and they sat there. It made for some entertainment for us while we settled in.

My two nearest BB&Bs carry $25 and $50 Disney GCs. My nearest BBB does not carry third-party GCs, only BBB and BB&B GCs (my next nearest BBB is about 50 miles away, so no thanks). @Limes96 and @GusGus16 found $25 Disney GCs at BBB.

I'll echo this and mention that for those unfamiliar with booking with Southwest (especially on points), it makes sense to basically check your pending flights each day. Southwest will save recent searches so it takes me about 30 seconds to check each morning and afternoon...I do it twice a day ;) haha. I currently have 2 pending SW flights coming up already booked and if I see an opportunity to rebook and save points I jump on it.

EDIT: I'll also mention that those click-bait articles that say flights are cheapest to book (or check) on Tuesday OR booking 3 months 8 days out is the best time, etc. are garbage advice with Southwest (and probably garbage advice period). I've found the BEST price on SW flights booking the day they are released (they never went down) AND in other scenarios I've rebooked as late as the week of the flight and saved points AND anywhere in between there in other scenarios. I've also found SW flights cheapest on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays...you get the picture... :)

I agree with all of this too^^^. I also check my flights regularly.

thank you. I guess it is worth hauling the kids in there. At least they are near lowes in case mine don't have GC.

The Prestige allows you to cash out at 1cpp (which is what I did when I signed up last year). The Premier DOES NOT allow you to cash out at 1cpp so you'd be looking at gift cards at a 1cpp value or buying flights at 1.25cpp if the transfer partners above don't work for you.
Is there somewhere to see some of the gift card options without having a card? :)

Getting approved for a SW Biz card is very similar to a CIP, or CIC/CIU which many of us are familiar with. Chase biz apps pretty much follow the same set of rules and I think it's been mentioned before but it can get increasingly difficult to get multiple Chase cards (i.e. most people can get a second, a third can be a little more difficult, a fourth even harder, etc.) so it's important to make sure you prioritize your Chase business cards if you want to get a bunch of them.
it'll be his first biz card with chase...."biz" lol. FWIW, that Sams club groupon last week? I had just canceled my own membership, and got the groupon for DH,no problem- it was a good deal, went thru Discover for a groupon 5% back, cost was $35, got an e gift card for $10 at Sams right away, waiting on the next $15 egift card in the email.....now Just have to get the free food coupons..... I don't like the store much but I wanted to use this for the Amex offers I keep getting(and missing!) So that's another $15(amex 50/15) off the package overall. basically cheap or free is what I'll pay for Sams club:rotfl: actually I guess I'm getting paid a few bucks to join (again)

I wish Google Flights could create a function to alert you for the lowest point bookings... I've used Google Flights several times this year to track the lowest prices for a couple flights and bought tickets as soon as I got the email that the flights had dropped in price. It would be great if they could do something similar for Southwest!

Seems like this happened last time there was an Amex offer for Sam's. No emails and the credits came later than most offers, but they did eventually come. Something to do with the arrangement between Amex and Sam's.

Yes, to all of your points. What is different this time, is I've received the credit and the offer is back in my saved offers as if it was not used.

I found 25.00 GC at both of my local stores.

That's good to hear! Do you mind sharing what state you are in? I'm in Maryland and I go to BedBB often but not BBB as it is a little further. So, I'm holding off until I'm in that area for something else.

Chase Ink Preferred - 100,000 point BRM (in branch) offer going away...(rumor)

So a friend on r/churning knows a Chase BRM well and has caught wind that the 100k in branch BRM offer will be going away on August 25th. That person is checking to see if the public online offer (80k) will change at all with this as well - I will keep you guys posted!

EDIT: When asked, "Do you know if the public bonus will be changing as well (down from the current 80k offer)?" her reply was: "No. I believe that is remaining the same."

We just flew SW to PHX and I couldn’t believe how many people only purchased EBCI for one person in their party and then proceeded to “reserve” 3 rows of seats while flight attendants were standing saying nothing to them. I don’t typically mind people buying 1 EBCI and saving the other 2 seats in their row but really 3 rows :(

That happened on a flight we were on and my father said something to the flight attendant standing there and she just shrugged and said that there were no rules on it. He'd probably sit down anyway, but my mother would be too embarrassed so he keeps the peace. :-)
On the aisle/window seats, DH and I purposely choose those and let a stranger in the middle because neither of us wants the middle. We could sit on each aisle to be sort of next to each other, but we're always hoping no one sits in the middle. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. He just sleeps through the entire flight while I watch movies so no need to squish into the middle to be next to him. :D

I currently have a SW business card 10/17 and the CIP 5/18....was planning on closing the SW business after the anniversary points hit...then in Nov/Dec apply for the CIC. Do you think closing the SW business prior to applying for the CIC will increase my chances of approval ?

My opinion on that would be Yes...but I have no facts to back that up. The only thing there is that you would lose the ability to use that CL to shift over to get a CIC approved (although you could probably just shift your SW Biz CL to your CIP before you close it).

With no referrals, I see very little reason to keep a SW Biz card open beyond year 1. (Not sure if anybody disagrees, and if so why :))

I check in on upcoming flights every once in a while just to make sure there are no weird changes. Low and behold this morning I check on the Delta app and our fall flight to MCO was cancelled and we were rebooked for a 6+ hour layover in Salt Lake City and a next day 5am arrival. Aww, heck no! My fam is a wreck on overnight flights! Can't change on the app, online wants to charge us, call DL and I'm waiting for my call back in 2+ hours. Messaged on Twitter in case they magically get back to me first. Unfortunately the alternative flight has a before the birds are even awake departure that leaves us wanting hotel rooms the night before our flight. Dangit Delta!!
