For you with ebay "businesses" how do you estimate shipping? Or do you do the tool where shipping is calculated by the buyer's zip code? I way underestimated for DS's Nintendo switch. It was $20-something to send priority to Cali. I think I charged a flat $12 for shipping.
thanks. I did use my shipping scale to weigh it, but didn't know where the buyer would be located so I was off...by alot...haha. It is fine for the one item, but if I start listing more I'd like to estimate much better.
Q from my dh: Starbucks codes as dining/restaurants, correct?
(Don't worry, we'll be using Starbucks gc purchased at Walgreens with my spiffy new CF at 5x! He's just thinking ahead)
Does AMEX have SM like Chase?
Amex has live chat. Pretty sure they record the chats so they and you can refer back.
There are codes floating around for *I think* 6 months of free Award Wallet Plus. I have one if you need it. It now costs $30 a year. I was only using the free version until they announced the price increase, so I paid $10 to be grandfathered in for that price after the increase took affect.OK. I currently keep track with pencil and paper, so I guess I will just move the info to AwardWallet. Thanks for your help.

It really has. I get dinged every time I offer free shipping. I'm on the east coast too, and it seems like everyone who buys my stuff is on the west coast. I have to factor in the cost of shipping to the furthest distance if I'm going to offer it for free. I go to USPS and do a cost estimate using 90210 as the zip code to see what Kelly and Donna would pay to have it shipped to their beachfront apartment.Shipping unfortunately has really gone up since I started selling on eBay...and since I’m on the east coast it’s a lot more $$ to ship to the west coast than someplace closer.
A lot of things that aren't worth paying for, but one I felt was worth it, and that's that it keeps track of the expiration date of your miles or points (3 expirations for the Free version, unlimited for Plus). What does the paid version give over the free version? not sure if I need it.

Is there a chart for the 5 night Nights & Flights redemptions? I think I'm going to try for one. There's no way we'll use a 7 night cert in the next year.
Don't have any of theseNew Amex Offer for Spend $50 or more, get $15 back at Samsclub .com. Expires 7/31/18. Check your cards. I got it on several of mine. Seems widely targeted.
DoC is posting about a $20 statement credit/2000 MR for $50+ at Amazon, but it's not on any of my cards.
Got it on two of DH's cards...plus one more on carnival cruise which is pretty good- mine were all stuff I don't want. Still have to hit that hilton offer for the gc's.....New Amex Offer for Spend $50 or more, get $15 back at Samsclub .com. Expires 7/31/18. Check your cards. I got it on several of mine. Ouch. I think if you listed priority, you need to ship it priority and just eat the cost.
I almost always set my auctions to Buy It Now and factor shipping into the BIN price with "Free" shipping. I'll ship using either USPS's flat rate priority boxes (so the cost is fixed according to shipping product) or my own boxes/envelopes, depending on the item's size and weight and whichever gives me the lowest shipping cost. If I use my own box, I'll prepackage the item as if it's ready to ship, weigh it on my scale, calculate the shipping cost with USPS's tool assuming a zip code farthest from me (so I'm in CA, and I'll input a zip in NY) and factor the worst case shipping scenario into my BIN price. If that price is looking too high and off-putting to BIN, I'll put shipping on the buyer and use eBay's shipping calculator tool for them to calculate shipping cost based on their zip.

Thanks! I saw that chart but the post is pretty old so I wasn't sure if the totals were the same.

This seems to be a known issue I saw a post on Dr. of credit discussing itMy purchases for the 20% extra MR points are not updating on my Amex Everyday account. It says I have made 0 purchases and have 0 pending. But I have made purchases (both posted and pending). Anyone else's account not updating?
