I love credit cards so much!

Just downloaded this because I was curious. I don't reember ever hearing about it but I had signed up some point because my email was already in the system and I tried a password that worked. Going to guess it's because my bank wasn't an option and I wasn't using cc's much and saw no reason. Weird.
It’s very passive once you link your cards.

I think @Albort and @Lain have both mentioned Drop on here. I don't think @Lain was using it though, iirc. I do not like the idea of giving them access to my banking or CC's so I've not signed up.

This makes me nervous too. I only did Amex because it’s a unique account login and if my cards get charged I can do a charge back. But I guess they really would be able to get more information than just that.

Still catching up here...

Reading about your experience is scaring me, because we're planning to go to WDW next June! Last day of school is June 6th, so we'll probably leave on the the 7th. Our only other trip was in late Sept. and the crowds were very low.:scared:
We’re there next June around the same time. Fingers crossed for us.

Help---for the first time ever, SW flights have gone done in price (dd's semester break flights). How do I rebook the same flights with the lower prices? I also don't have her RR number  Should I just call so the travel funds are correctly allocated?

Not sure if anyone answered but you can do it online with the “change flight” option..or you can call also

We just got back and it was crowded but I thought the waits were not bad. Just have plans in place, rope drop and use the FPs to the max. Our day in MK I was able to keep adding FPs every time we used one. Our worst wait of the whole trip was SDMT. We actually lucked into a FP for it while modifiying FPs at midnight 2 nights before our MK day but it of course poured the rain at our time. We had stayed in the park just for that ride so could not wait till it reopened. We came back a 2nd day just to ride it and the posted time was 60 minutes. It broke down while in line and then again while on the ride. All in the darn ride took over 2 hours. We waited one day for Splash - posted wait time was 95 minutes and we were off the ride in about 30 minutes. FOP had posted wait times well over 100 minutes the whole week but we rope dropped it twice and was off the ride both times in about 30 minutes. At Hollywood studios RNR had wait times around 100 minutes most of trip but we managed to get on first train one morning, then rode TofT, back to RNR then FP RNR and FP TofT, so 5 rides in about an hour. The longest we waited for TSM was about 20 minutes and we rode it probably 10 times over the week. No FP, just standby.

I didn't book the Terrace. I booked Porto Paradiso Side Superior Room Harbor View. Correct, you can only book one night at a time for Harbor View rooms. Today is the 25th but in Tokyo it is the 26th right now so you'd be booking for November 26th today.

Two minutes after 11 a.m. Tokyo time, and I was able to pull up the Porto Paradiso Side Superior Room Harbor View for 80,700 yen (a bit under ~$800). LOL. I don't know why I'm plotting this out right now. No plans to take the kiddo to Tokyo for a few years. But it's nice to know it's actually bookable if you're right on time.

I just got approved for the Marriott card. My credit line is $5,000 LOL

That's the minimum CL to open the Marriott. It could be a sign that you're at about the limit of what Chase is willing to extend to you in credit. You may want to look into lowering the overall credit lines on your Chase cards before your next application.

But hey, sorry for worrying about the next card and CONGRATULATIONS on this one!!!

Thanks @Lain. I will call to lower my limits on CIP and CIC before I apply for any other Chase cards.

I found it amusing since they emailed me the offer.

I always get a little worried when we are arriving late to any hotel, but we've so far never had an issue with any hotel canceling us. But, 9:30 isn't even late. That is just insane.

I have a GOOD late arrival story...When we flew to Alaska last summer, our flight was delayed and we didn't get into Anchorage until around 11. I had reserved the Holiday Inn Express on points, and I called them on our layover to tell them that we were late, but we'd be there. She told me that they were overbooked, and they were moving us to the Hyatt House (a brand new hotel) nearby. I asked about how that would work since we paid with points and she said they'd take care of it. A couple of weeks after we got home from our trip, all of the IHG points for the two nights were returned to my account, so we got those two nights free!

When i double dipped the Marriott and CFU last fall I got $5k and $500... it put me at $35.5k and I was using $65k... little did i know how far off that was due to all the OT I'd be working! And it was just me, because using only personal income since we weren't married made DH more comfortable. Hey, at least they increased them to $6.5k and $1k  I care more about the CFU turned Freedom!

Since September we've used household for the Spg bizs and DHs Cip. I'm hoping that when i apply for my next Chase card that will help because that will make a huge difference in my credit limit to income.

Add Alaska to the places I want to get back to!

You can lower CLs via SM. Just select the account you want to lower and be very clear with the account number and the credit limit you want.

I have my own bucket list out for a few years for travel. Future tentative plans:
2019 - Olympic NP July; Hawaii Oct
2020 - Alaska Aug
2021 - California - Yosemite and Redwoods NPs
2022 - Acadia NP and New England
You can see the theme - domestic and national park focused. No current plans for international travel but we just watched a show on Antarctica and that looked very interesting so putting on the research list.
@StephPlum , do you know about the National Park Traveler's Club?
https://www.parkstamps.org/index.php
They have forums and a great database on where to collect stamps at nps sites and more!
