I leave tomorrow for Atlantis. I checked in this AM with Southwest right at 24 hours and got an A boarding position. I’m super excited to get away for a few days. I’ll try and remember to take good pictures so I can share a review.

So glad your party went well and the weather was good! Our weather was awful. Had we had the party this past weekend, it would have been gorgeous. So weird. Our district always has done Memorial Day weekends graduations too but moved it up to the weekend before just this year. We homeschool but my dd went part time for high school so she was allowed to participate.

You and your dd are so pretty and you look like such a proud Mama! She never has to know her pic is on the DIS lol!

Looks like we will also be traveling to Disney at the same time! Just different coasts. We will be at DW June 19-26.

Sorry catching up and I know someone asked me about the CIP charges
They questioned a few random charges on a statement. Luckily the card was used for a true business. Grocery store, gas, electric bill, and directtv. The rep was nice and approved the charges. Since then I haven’t put anything on that card that’s not for business to be on the safe side.

This is where my "rule follower" antennae kick in. I'm terrified this would happen to me.

What would have happened if the rep didn't approve the charges???

I think they are on record as saying it won’t go away. Obviously changes are coming though. Of all the merger related things, this one (nights and flights) seems to be the poorest in terms of communication/execution thus far.

My daughter is going to be in Nassau with her BFF (from way back in high school who won a free cruise) probably tomorrow or the next day. Have a great trip @speedyfishy!

I think they are having fun because I got a text to pick up the girls again on Friday - Dad is working and they go to a sitter M-F, and a picture of the Disney Dream - taken from whatever ship they are on. They should be back Saturday night.

I'd just whip out another card and pay them. And move on to other charges for the card.

For the CSP, I know there is an extra bonus for adding an AU, should I add that now, when applying, or later after I get the card. Or does it matter?

I also did it after receiving the card, as long as you do it within the time frame you're fine.

This DD is soooo crazy and stressful. After calling and getting the CSR "approved" with a CL of 26K, I then submitted the CSP application. It went pending. I just called the Automated line. It said, You have submitted 2 applications in the last 30 days. The first one is under review and you will be notified in 2 weeks. The second one has been approved. Your credit line is 26K.

Do you think the Chase Line has the application order wrong? (Since they told me I was approved first for the CSR with CL = 26K.)

And what about the 2 weeks language? That is bad, right? If i screwed this up and end up with the CSP rather than the CSR, I'm going to be really disappointed.

Glad I bought my SPG points yesterday, they posted to my account immediately and I finished my SPG personal MSR so those points should show up in the next few days. I feel like I'm huddling my team of points together to strategize our conquering of the SPG/Marriott double team- except we have no idea when our time out clock runs out!

2 weeks is good 90% of the time! And yes, I think the status line is just a bit confused

The Marriott Nights and flights package is/was an already established part of the Marriott program as far as I know. It would seem to me the only people really wondering on this are Starwood people...but I'm not following Reddit so I don't really know. So SPG people (like my daughter) who have bought a package on spec before the devaluation of the CC to be acquired star points should be somewhat in the minority given the mammoth size of Marriott and the relatively smaller size of what was SPG. My guess is it will be okay, but I'd probably buy a category 6 package as a hedge against the unknown in a 1-5.

And, although I'm not going to buy the package, I am going to go buy a bunch of points before the May 31 deadline. Points.com is definitely pushing those sales!

Any DP on how hard you can hit PP for the category? I mean to DH..... I've made some random PP purchases too, but this last one would be the biggest,and would just be transferred (if I can)

Several members here did the full $1500 (inclusive of fees) on Apple Pay last quarter. (I didn’t.) Chase doesn’t seem to care about p2p transfers between spouses.

However, do not do this on Amex cards! There are many DPs that say sending a PayPal payment to your spouse using Amex cards will get your cards frozen and trigger a financial review.

Have finally caught up to my post from last night, now 70 more and counting posts to go just from last night! She graduated Friday the 18th and her party was this past Sunday. It went great. Did the taco bar also. Was so worried about thunderstorms. It kept saying high chance all day Sunday but it was super nice! It did pour overnight and we had set up tables in the backyard but ended up moving everything to the drive and garage because there was still puddles all over the yard. But everything turned out well. My older DD graduated on a Friday and we had her party 2 days later. I think the party stressful no matter when you have it! But both parties were over the holiday weekend. Our district always had graduation Memorial day weekend until last year when they decided to bump it back a week. But we have family all over and many traveled 6+ hours so it just made sense to keep the party over the holiday weekend. Since you shared your graduation pic, I will attempt to share mine. Have never posted a photo before.

P.S. Is that the National Honor Society badge on your daughter’s graduation sash?

Automated status line orders your applications from most recent to oldest (so your newer (pending) app is reported first. So no worries there.

2 weeks is a good sign. Are you planning to call recon today and try to get it approved?

Referring to my own post above - this is one of the very few times when I've felt it may be a good idea to buy star points. I've bought IHG points lots of times when I could see the value in a particular redemption. I'm doing it on spec, as I don't have a planned redemption yet, but I'm thinking I might run on up to NYC when it gets a little cooler.

The AF for my Amex Platinum just posted. I really like having this card and have used many of the benefits. Since the beginning of 2018, I have triggered the $200 travel credit by buying Southwest gift cards, I've used the $15 Uber credits in full every month (except for April when I used just under $12), I've used $130 worth of offers on the card and I've used the lounge access twice (one Centurion lounge and the Escape lounge at OAK). So for 2018, my AF is down to $148, with over half the year to go to use Uber credits, use offers, visit lounges, etc. I really had no intention of cancelling but decided to call Amex to see if they would give me a retention offer. They gave me an offer of 30,000 MR if I spend $4k by 8/29/18. The spend is high, so probably not the best offer, but I didn't really have it in me to play hard ball, so I took it since I never planned to cancel. We'll see whether I make the spend or not, but I'm not currently working on any other MSR and won't be until the Fall since DH has gotten three Chase cards since Feb. (last was CIC within the last two weeks), and I'm over 5/24 until Oct.
