I love credit cards so much!

Sort of OT but really having a crappy day with the ex because according to angry texts messages from him I'm spoiling the kids and "trying to show them I have money." The truth is I don't "have money" (and he's never paid any support), I just manage my money well (including traveling on points). And I'm waiting on lab results from the vet on a growth removed from my fur baby last week.
Sorry. He is jealous. Reminds me a bit of my growing up and parents divorce.
Hoping your fur baby is ok :(

I thought a few weeks ago there were numerous DPs on Reddit that you actually didn’t have to get approved same day (but you do need to apply same day). Not that I’d advise anybody to risk that tho lol.

Since we have a third DP, I want to make sure people are aware of a modification to the CSR/CSP double dip. Both applications don’t have to be done on the same day (still recommended). If the first app is pending and is approved on a different day, you’re able to apply for the second card on the same day as the approval of the first card (not the same day as application).

Example: If you apply for the CSR on 5/1 and are approved on 5/5, you can apply for the CSP on 5/5 and receive approval.

You can apply on different days, but get approval for both on the same day. Double dipping on the same day is still preferable because it combines a hard pull, whereas applying on different days would result in two hard pulls.

There were other DPs that suggested it might be possible to get approval on different days, but they're so mixed I don't know what to make of them.

Yes - basically you don’t need to get approved the same day (and possibly can even apply 1 day later) but I wouldn’t recommend the strategy to anybody.

You sure you used yours and not your dh’s? We’ve had that happen here before. I would call and get it sorted out and approved.

What a relief!!! Okay, I called Recon and they sent me a code to verify my identity and told me I was already approved!!!!! :cool1: But my CL is 26K so I hope that’s not too high for the next one. What stress lol!!!

Yes, take some deep breaths and proceed to the next one. Different browser!
HAHA, Yes, deep breathing here while logged in on my DD's computer. But now the problem is my link to the DIS Churners board won't work :(. Even when I go to my inbox and click the original link sent to me by @SouthFayetteFan. It keeps telling me it's Private - Keep out

Can you login? It probably is not recognizing you on a different computer.

ETA: you can also use a different browser on your same computer or apply on your phone. Still will have to re-login to reddit DISchurners group.

For the CSP, I know there is an extra bonus for adding an AU, should I add that now, when applying, or later after I get the card. Or does it matter?

Update: Applied DH for CIP yesterday. Was at 30 days. Just checked this morning and he was approved!! Yeah.. I messaged Chase and asked if they could expedite as we are getting new appliances in the next week and want to use that card. They were able to expedite and should have the card in 2 days, so that is a relief.

Now have to get at least 1 more card if not more to meet spend on carpeting and a new deck. A few suggestions were AMEX Business Delta for 60,000 points and $50 with $1,000 spend. That would be easy. Have not flown Delta in forever so not sure how much for a ticket anymore. We could both get that card. Or the other suggestion was the AMEX Business Hilton at 125,000 points. What are the rules for getting AMEX Business cards. Do they have a time period on how many you can get within so many days - like 1/30 or something like that?

What are your thoughts on the AMEX Business Gold at 50,000 MR's?

No immediate plans for points. After CIP Spend will have about 220,000 UR's, 175,000 SW Points and about 430,000 Marriott points. So open to anything at this point.

Can you book VRBO with UR's? I know you can just take a statement credit but not sure if you can book using the CSP/CSR.

Congrats on the approval! Amex rule is 2/90 meaning no more than 2 Amex credit cards in 90 days. They also limit a person to holding 5 Amex credit cards at a time. Charge cards don’t count towards these rules if you are over.

MR is more felxible than Delta or Hilton but that Business Gold card has had higher offers in the past. I think the Delta and Hilton offers are at their highest right now. Obviously silly to get those tho if you won’t use them.
