I just wanted to thank everyone who answered me about putting part of a vehicle on a cc. i am calling places to ck their policies but they seem to want to discourage me from doing it, so I am going to find a couple dealerships that will do a portion and then look for the vans.

Ah-hah! Maybe I was in the wrong spot. "Page" may not have been the correct terminology, but it was a hugely long list of referral links. I'm going to start over using the link you provided just to make sure someone gets credit for the referral.

I did some research. I see various people getting caught for different things with Amex Plastiq, bank funding and giftcards. I’m willing try it out since I can’t meet these spends organically. The plan is for me to hit SPG with BMO and then get my SO the Delta and SPG and fund BMO with those as well. I’ll let everyone know how it goes.

Personally, when it comes to RATs, I'm much less concerned about Plastiq<Gift Cards<Bank funding. Of the three, bank funding seems to me to be the most likely to fall under the category of "cash equivalent." I used Plastiq to help meet my SPG Biz MSR, bought almost $900 worth of Target gift cards (closed loop, in store) on the SPG Biz during their 10% off sale in December, and my Starpoints posted fine with no clawback.

Thank you. I have no points right now and was searching from my phone so maybe that's why I didn't see it.
I received an invite to join a survey panel to earn ihg points. Don't want to invest too much time taking surveys if I then also have to lay out cash to book a room. Eventually would get the IHG card too....tyring to get back under 5/24 first for another chase card.

That's probably it. There's maybe some properties that have a resort fee that may not be covered by points, but a regular booking covers the room rate + taxes and normal fees. So generally no money needed when booking all on points.

If that's e-Rewards that's pretty good, they have a nice sliding scale for IHG rewards so I find the best value is save up $100 and get the top tier. And once you get invited to join you can use your money towards any program they're attached to not just the one that invited you.

Most people get that message. You can call the automated status line at 888 338 2586 to check your application status. If it changes to two weeks you are probably approved. If it changes to 7-10 days it’s likely a denial.
