You said you needed to buy a load of Disney Gift Cards, right? PayPal Digital Gifts has a deal for Best Buy gift cards and savings codes, both of which can be used in store to buy Disney Gift Cards. The deal is buy one $100 Best Buy gift card and get an additional $10 savings code, limit 3, which works out to be a 9% discount before any credit card rewards. You'll get the Best Buy e-Gift card and savings code via email. I just open them up, take a screenshot of the barcode and PIN on my phone, open up my phone's photo album in Best Buy for the cashier to scan at checkout.

Unfortunately, Chase Ink cards no longer earn 3x/5x UR bonuses on PayPal Digital Gifts, and Amex may not count this purchase towards MSR or for points since you're buying gift cards. So you'll have to decide which card is best to use.
Yes, I need Disney Gift Cards. We are finishing up our Marriott Biz MSR, I'll just use that.

Clicking around on the Chase site today and I came across "application status". Click the three bars on the left for the menu, scroll down to Explore Products, and "application status" was right after it. I don't have anything under review right now so i just get a No Application Activity message.

Award seats on Hawaiian Airlines are capacity controlled. Generally, you can book award travel on Hawaiian Airlines 330 days in advance, and seat availability opens up at midnight Hawaii time 330 days out. Hawaiian Airlines advertises no blackout dates, but from experience the ~4 weeks before Christmas through after the new year show no availability at 330 days for coach, some availability in first class; and HA agents tell me to keep checking because these seats are likely to be released later. When? Who knows? (I have booked award travel for Christmas before, but it's been impossible for the past two years.) There's usually good availability for the rest of the year, but the lowest mileage awards do get booked fast. Keep in mind high seasons, which is basically whenever kids are out of school. If you have a Hawaiian Airlines MasterCard, you get access to additional discounted flight availability.

You can check Hawaiian Airlines' awards chart here: http://hawaiianair.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2218/~/book-award-flights

I will ditto the difficulty in finding low cost award seats during peak times. I used to be a very loyal Hawaiian airlines flyer. I really like the product, and I go to Hawaii 3-5 times a year. I was Gold once (which was awesome), and I've had the credit card for a few years. But, I've become disenchanted with them due to the ridiculous price of the miles most of the time and availability. We used the great sweet spot in Avios for redemptions on Alaska flights to Hawaii and had a great experience. All four of us flew round trip last summer for 100,000k MR points. That's hard to beat. Flights around the same time for Hawaiian were 55k (or something ridiculous like that) ONE way. I also realized that I hadn't been able to use my companion $100 off two years in a row because every time I went to use it: I wanted to book a one-way (not allowed) OR the flights were so overpriced compared to competition that it was cheaper to fly Alaska or United. As much as I love the free rum punch and the fun Hawaiian print uniforms, my loyalty only goes so far. I told them exactly that when I closed my credit card. They didn't have much to say in response :)

Unless something has changed, from what I know that's only good for loans. It won't show credit card apps.

Just wanted for follow up on my post from yesterday. I went to the Chase Private Banking branch to see about pre-approval and I wasn't pre-approved for any cards :( But it was a very worthwhile stop. The guy said they were having a promo for 100k UR for the CIP if I applied in branch. I did so, and will have to follow up with Chase lending in a few days re the credit freeze. He did note my number of Chase business cards, but we'll see what happens.

Oh, I’m glad that in branch offer is still going on! I thought it ended at the end of last year. If your number of Chase business cards is an issue for approval, see if you can offer to close your Southwest Biz card, which you were going to do anyway, to get approved for the CIP.

Great advice! I will indeed do that. I was surprised about the offer, too. He went to double check with manager that it was still going on and it was. Crossing my fingers all goes well!

I've seen that a few times before and always wonder why they put that together? Even when airports are close, it's still not usually a " hop a tram, be next door within 30 minutes"... you'd have to be giving me a really awesome special or I'd have to be so desperate and have no checked luggage to go along with that.

When I lived in San Jose I would often see flights that would bus you from SJC to SFO for your connection. I always wondered if people did that .I think it was United that did it.

:flower1: AWESOME!! Fingers crossed for your approval!

I should add that Hawaiian Airlines recently started flying new narrow-body Airbus A321neos on some of its smaller west coast routes to and from Hawaii. They were supposed to take delivery of more of these planes through this year and into 2020, but that’s been delayed.

I haven’t had a chance to fly on any of the new planes yet, and since we fly out of SFO to HNL -- two of HA’s biggest markets -- I expect we’ll continue to fly on the higher capacity, wider body Airbus A330s. But I have mixed feelings from what I’ve read. The new HA A321neos are supposed to have new interior designs with mood lighting for better sense of space, but they’ll also have slightly narrower seats and no seatback entertainment screens, opting for a “bring your own” experience. The upside is supposed to be that these planes are more fuel efficient and have longer range, which will allow HA to offer more direct flights between smaller markets like the neighbor islands and its various mainland ports, and possibly cheaper fares.

Check seatguru . com for your flight and seat maps.

A plane buff here, HA is suppose to be getting new A330neos. wiki says 2019 for the newest delivery.
current A321s are flying Portland/Oakland --> Kahului only it seems like. Source1 Source2
I have a feeling they have switched to those new entertainment systems where you would need to rent an iPad or bring your own. Alaska does that.

seatguru may not always be 100% accurate in the plane model, the best is to check out radar24 or flightaware for the exact model.

How many business card do you have?

I know people double dip with Sapphires but what about one of these and a Sapphire?
There's no real reason to double dip a CIC and CIP or one of these with a Sapphire. The ONLY reason you have to double dip the Sapphires is because of the 1/24 "family" bonus rule which currently applies only to those 2 cards.
