@vanjust14, @wendow, @peel, any ideas how to creatively address a mortgage payment to:

Heritage Bank
PO Box 537
Hopkinsville, KY 42241

and

Caliber Home Loans
PO Box 650856
Dallas, TX 75265-0856

I can't help directly because I haven't had to get creative with my address. Maybe it will work if you add "Mr." to the front of any company name. Mr. Heritage, Mr. Caliber, etc. :rotfl2:

I think Tinkerbell must have spilled her entire bag of pixie dust on us today. We just checked into the Hyatt Regency in Aruba. I had reserved a regular room with garden view with my points. My reservation said partial garden view third floor. When we got here we were put into the Govener’s suite. 9th floor, with three balconies. Thank you Tinkerbelle, and Grace at the front desk.

Yes, PICTURES!!!!

I'm going to take your advice and book that instead. For only 5,000 more points, it's no big deal. My mom has never been to NYC, so may as well go all out with the experience when I'll be spending very little out of pocket anyways.
I don't think you'll regret it. Have fun! I'm so jealous. NYC around Christmas time is so magical!!!

I booked my free night plus points nights at the Holiday Inn and Suites on 17th Street. Booked it at 40K before the increase to 50K. I also like the West Ocean City HI Express as it's closer to Assateague and Starbucks and Panera up the street! I'm going end of July also as we are at Hilton Head July 4th week. Got to get my OC fix each summer! My IHG account is running super low!
I made great use of that 100,000 bonus on the IHG card. Now I have 500 points left. Free night won't post until July.

I'm also waiting for the Hyatt Place to open up on the Boardwalk. They will be open this summer. They called me and would take a cash booking for June, but I'm waiting to use the credit card points and free nights!

In June they are asking $449 a night oceanfront. They haven't gone live with reservations yet, nothing on the website, but I had put in an inquiry and received a courtesy phone call last week when they started booking.

I've never stayed at Hyatt Place but I understand they have some kind of breakfast also. The HI on 17th has a full kitchen, so breakfast is easy - we just call room service!

Recall how quickly your card came in the mail?

I was approved on 1/1 (what a way to start the year eh ;)) and card arrived in the mail on 1/9. I remembered the exact date because I called to give them the hurry up and ironically, it was in my mailbox that day :D

Thanks for the heads up on the Hyatt Place! I'll keep that in mind for future trips! We're there July 28-July 30th.

Mondays suck and I'm trying to remember:

If I decide to product change my CSR to a CF or CFU after I've already paid the 2nd year AF, I'll eventually get some prorated portion of it credited back, right?

That's how it's been working, but don't bother asking the customer service reps because some of them tell people no refunds on afs.

I need to sign up for AAA. Anyone want to PM me their support code? It asked me on the first page if I was referred.

AAA is regional so, in my region at least, you can only recruit friends in the same region. Happen to know what region you're in? We're "Mid Atlantic"
It is a weird request, but if it's a smaller company I can maybe see it as a cheap type of insurance that gets you some discounts. Probably some bean counter figured it out. But if they want it for hotel discounts, most times the discount is only about 5% and it's not always the best rate. If it's not the best flexible rate, most times it's the loyalty member rate that beats it, occasionally we've had just the regular flexible rate beat it out but that is rare.

Yes that was what happened to me but reps said I’d get nothing back. I got $375. PC’ed in mid Dec after paying af in Oct.

Someone's reporting he got 10k SPG courtesy points after calling three times to be matched from the 25k/$5k offer to the new 35k/$7k. If true, I guess persistence and some luck pays off.

I can be a DP on this as well. I called after seeing this post and after 5 minutes on hold, the rep came back and told me 10K SPG points (without any additional spend since I've met the MSR already and have been with Amex for 9 years...) will be added to my account within the next 24-72 hours :cool1:. This was the first time I've called. Apparently, she said they have received quite a bit of feedback about this higher offer and Amex will be making Starwood aware of the number of calls received about this as well.

Said I would def keeping using the card now given the generosity :P

Oh goody! I think I'm going to risk eyes being on my account and call.
Can I ask what exactly you said to them?

SWEET!! The original reddit post also mentions the rep noticing the person had about $6500 in spend on the account already so it looks the reps do review your account and spending when looking at this. My sketchy spending and I shall be staying away from calling in but I hope others here are able to get more points!!!
ETA: unless everybody under the sun gets matches because SPG released more points or something to amex (is that even how that works? idk)

We're all celebrating with you!

P.S. any extra spend? If not, sweet!
