That's a little strange that you don't have anything pending for Plastiq. If this was on your CIP, try looking at your Ultimate Rewards page. Sometimes charges appear and then disappear when they go from pending to approved, but you'll see them listed as transactions in the UR portal.

Yes, I used part of the gift card for lunch and have a few $ left on it. The gift card shows up in Gyft. The cashier tried scanning the code with no success, so she manually entered it no problem!
Also, make sure you go through paypal (with CIP as preferred card) when you purchase through Gyft for the 3X.

Like @peel said, check the Ultimate Rewards site for more Activity. Your CIP business account site (Chase for Business?) takes forever to post anything. Charges take a while to show as pending, then will disappear, and finally post days later. The Ultimate Rewards site has a Review More Activity/Recent Activity link under your available points and pending points. Click that link and it should show you all your recent charges and how many points you earned on the transactions. If the points are a multiple of 3x the charge, you’ve triggered the CIP’s bonus. My transactions usually show up with 1-2 days — much sooner than it posting on the main Chase site.

ETA: Just checked and my student loan payment through Plastiq on 3/15 earned 3x on CIP.

We have options for travel....
Anytime this summer (mid May they early Aug), around thanksgiving, or after Christmas until mid Jan (the earlier the better).

I realize I am late on this summer but I started trying to plan this for after Christmas back around New Years and it has just been complicated. Lol Summer would be ideal. Next summer (2019) we have DCL/Alaska, so if we can’t do the above dates in 2018, we will have to hold on Hawaii til holidays 2019.

We have about 330k UR, 500k Hilton,
And I am working on spending for 35k SPG. I could also buy another 30k thru today and may do that. I think for SWA we are down to prob under 20k all combined. (ETA: we have a CP for SW)

We are traveling from BNA. There are 6 of us (2 parents, 18, 10, 8, 2). Will need 2 rooms so I was looking at Hyatt (20k x 2= 40k a night). Not sure if that’s best or not. Can always split a stay and use Hilton points.

My hubs wants to do Maui. I’d love to split with aulani. I am flexible though. Must be on the beach and a great pool would be nice.

I have tried following TPG tutorial on Korean skypass but can’t get any other airlines to show up on the Alaska site when I look for availability...even for cash. And I know they fly BNA to OGG and HNL b/c I can pull it up on google flights. This is where I get annoyed. Ha!

I’m not opposed to (and maybe prefer) an overnight on the west coast btwn legs. Might help with the little one.

Such a rush to be approved for CIP that if I had time I might have jumped on and applied for SPG Biz. The $7000 minimum spend still scares me though. And I saw something on Doctor of Credit today that Amex Biz are now wanting 4 digit listed for annual revenue?!? That also is a little worrisome especially for RAT. I guess I am just paranoid about them reviewing charges.

Don't stress over RAT. In the midst of my SPG spend I had a double charge from a restaurant. I opened a ticket with Amex so they could look into it and refund me. I dreaded having eyes on my acct, but all went well. I got my refund, completed my spend and have my bonus points. I used my Amex for everything I could- bills, eye doctor, etc. If they took Amex, I used it.

I used to do that walk all the time. My grandma lived on Long Island and we would take the train to Penn Station and walk around Times Square and sometimes walk down 5th. Sorry, I’m just really missing NY. lol I’ll be there in July when I take the bar, but I’m not looking forward to that lol. The walk isn’t bad my grandma is not fit, but I can understand not wanting to do it with luggage. Also, the walk is better in December. All the stores around there start to do Christmas things like 5th ave.

No, I tried, but I couldn't my NavyFed car payment through and my landlord is pretty strict about getting a bank check so I didn't want to pay her. All of my other bills I can pay on site with CC. Doctors, bills, sports registration, tix to a college softball game, college payments, I did purchase a GC via Groupon.

Right, same here. I don't ever pay with CP at Starbucks. I just buy discounted GC's and reload those. I've never paid with Apple Pay either but it was set up already. I'm just wondering if CP was supposed to be setup prior to using the offer. It's weird that the transaction isn't even showing up in my history.

Just got back from a mini morning coffee break from work. Went to Starbucks to use the Chase Pay offer. No problem at all using Chase Pay. The clerk knew right away to scan the code where the Starbucks app would normally scan. Now to see if my 300 stars actually show up. Nothing yet, but I see others posting that it could take up to 5 days. Bonus is that my dry cleaner is near the Starbucks, so I picked up some cleaning, and my dry cleaner takes Amex, so another (very small) chink in that SPG Biz MSR!

I made a purchase on DW's new SPG Biz this morning, but the purchase is "pending" and "will be processed in the next 48 hours." I hope we won't have any problems. My prior purchases using my SPG Biz went through almost instantaneously.

Can someone point me toward a Gyft primer? I signed up last night and downloaded the app to my iPhone. I have many questions.

I made a test purchase for a $5 Dunkin Donuts GC. I payed with my Freedom using Apple Pay. I should get 5x for that, since Apple Pay is a 5x category until the end of the month, right? Then on April 1, I should use my Freedom with PayPal to get 5x? And when PayPal and Apple Pay are no longer 5x earners I should use my CIP with PayPal for 3x?

And what are my options for using the GCs once I purchase them? With the Dunkin GC, can I add it to my existing balance within my DD app as well as paying within the Gyft app by having the DD clerk scan the QR code that Gyft generates? How do you use other GCs? I know some of you buy them when you're already in a store...do all stores have the ability to scan the QR code in the Gyft app?

I don't know why I'm having such a hard time deciphering this. I need to be totally comfortable with it before I ask DH to participate. Thanks in advance!

Yes, you are correct. Finish using this quarter with apple pay, switch to Freedom with Paypal for 5x. once those 2 are gone, switch to CIP with paypal for 3x. If you added your DD GC to DD app, it draws it into another account right? then you should delete it. Amazon gift card is the same way as well.

@disneymagicgirl applies to u as well, but i forgot to mention about buying gyft.com gift cards first. If its pends, thats okay. then using the gyft.com gift cards to buy gift cards. should be instant and no problems at all. This is also a good way to max out your Freedom card.

Taking advantage of the Comfort Inn hack, I decided to check if Comfort Inn was listed on Southwest Air's hotel booking site Bingo! A one day room for our party of 4 was 300 bucks. Oh, it came with points as well. I paid via my Sapphire Reserve for 3x UR points. Figuring that's up to 150 bucks toward Southwest fare in points, the total for us all will but about 50 bucks each plus 9,000 (8,000 Southwest, 1,000 chase) points earned in total.

be very careful with portals. i did a check for a friend on Comfort Inn and they charge a pretty high price on booking fee. We found that booking directly is the cheapest.
