Calypso, I wanted to quote you since I'm fairly certain you know the answer to my question. If I shop through the Chase Rewards portal with my CSR can I also get ebates on the purchase (I hit the ebates button on my screen after I have gone through the Chase portal)?

I've never tried it. The T&C on all the merchants I've read though state that purchases can not be combined with any other offer. I am not that familiar with Ebates so I'm not sure how an Ebates button would simply show up on a merchant's website. Sorry I could not be of more help.

if you dont have a specific category, than yeah, citi double cash is a good choice, but i do notice you have a CSR and Freedom, the Freedom Unlimited, although .5% less, may be worth a look if you plan to keep the other 2 cards for awhile.
Disney gives u 1%... im not sure what u plan to do with this card.

CSR - covers your travel
Freedom, covers your 4 quarters.
PRG - 3x on flights, 2x on groceries, 2x on restaurants
Blue cash 3x on groceries, 2x on gas. (does this card earn u MR pts?)

You seem to have a doubles on a few things.

I would probably stick with one travel card or another. check your card partners and keep using a certain one.

A few things id replace for higher benefits would be costco card (4x gas, 3x restaurant, 2x costco) or Sams club card (5x gas, 3x dining and travel). These both give u cash backs.
citi double cash if you do not plan to keep your CSR alive, if you do keep CSR, Freedom Unlimited is the way to go.

The other tactic that i was talking about are bank account returns. For example, there is a bank called Consumers Credit Union, you open an account with them, get their credit card, do what is required, you can get an Interest rate as high as 4.5%. I am currently only doing their 3% but it might be worthwhile in the long run. rates may change, it requires more work, so at the end, its up to you to decide. I would suggest doing the 5% less work ones first, may be worth making some money to add to your funds. :]

this is all my 2 cents though. Im sure we all see it differently. haha. sorry.

edit: i still highly recommend the Ink+ though.

Trying to find the Consumers Credit Union you are referencing but there appears to be more than one. Can you provide any other info? Also, do you know if their credit card would count against Chase's 5/24 rule? TIA

Chase has been super nice to consumers... 70k CSP has surfaced, 80k Ink P, 100kCSR. new business card coming soon too...
HOW do you find/qualify for that 70k CSP offer? I would love to find that

I believe you only get one portal-99.99% sure of that- you choose which you want more.

https://www.myconsumers.org/ It probably will go against the 5/24 rule. so make sure u get your chase cards first. I would however start with insightcards.com and max that out first(its easier too). then do consumers.

you just walk into the branch and say you "heard" of a 70k CSP offer and wonder if its available.

Well I hit my $4k spend. So we walked into Chase and my husband got approved for $23k on his CSR (jerk mine was only $10k, LOL). So now we attempt to do it again. I'm kinda shocked I did my $4k in only a month, LOL.

I'm hoping my husband's card is here before we leave on Tuesday. I'd love to score our hotel next week for free after the $300 credit. 200,000 points will make a family trip to Hawaii a reality! AHHHHHH!

We have now spent enough to reach the required spend for our CSR card. Is there anyway of changing the due date that would make my second statement date close earlier. Right now, it closes on the 7th or 8th. My first payment is due on 12/7. I would go ahead and pay that so I didn't have any late fees or anything, but what would I change it to to make my statement close? Is there any rule of thumb for that?

I have read that this is possible with a secure message online.

I got my CSR points too. My points posted before I received a bill or paid. Not pending either, shows as available.

I met the minimum spend on my CSR Wednesday night! Don't see the points yet, pending or otherwise, but I don't need them for a bit.

This is a bit addicting... I'm thinking about a next card, but we may be house hunting in the future. I'm at 5/24 now, and will drop to 3/24 in January.

My latest cc news: I applied for the Chase United card, which was denied. I called to find out why and it turns out I had forgotten about a card that I had opened in early January of 2015, so I was at the 5/24 limit. Now I have to decide whether I should wait 2 months and re-apply or move on to applying for different cards. I am tempted to apply for a business cad and hope it doesn't show up on my credit report. Normally I would just wait, but DH and I decided to buy new living room furniture as a Christmas gift to each other, and that, as well as some other holiday expenses, has me thinking that I am "wasting" a minimum spend by not applying for a new card now.

Any thoughts?

Are there any DP on business cards showing on a credit report? How does that work with being approved for a business card if you are right at the 5/24?

I'm not thinking of applying for a Chase business card - I don't think I would be approved for that either. I'm thinking probably American Express (I'd like to get a few more of the good AmEx offers).

Oh ok. So, are you thinking if you apply for an AmExp business card...and hoping it won't count against the 5/24 since it may not show up on your credit report?

I am at 4/24 but may also be an AU on one of my dh's so no more Chase cards for me until Feb 2017. My dh was denied for the CSR even though he was only at 3/24 but he was an AU on two of my cards.

Which AmExp are you considering? I am interested in the SPG I think :)
