I love credit cards so much!

@Eighty8Keys thanks for the info! Hmmm, I might do this. We had two reward cards between my account and my fiance's, and I have gift cards to cover all of our dining costs. I ended up using his to get a few things from Disney store online so I had one less card to take down there. Maybe I'll get a gift card with mine.

I just got the message that I was approved for the Chase Ink Preferred! I almost didn't apply bc I didn't think I had a shot. I decided to just go for it after they took away the possibility of getting the bonus for the CSP if I have the CSR.

Just to make sure I can use the Ink for any purchases right? Not just business stuff? I'm hoping to use it for daycare to make the required spend quickly.

When I called the Wholesale Direct line, it literally took less than 5 minutes for her to find my res, give me the MDE number and add DS to the res. I didn't add him when I booked as Chase portal was charging more if I added a third person. The only thing is, the person on the phone warned me that any changes to the reservation would make it revert to the original res for 2. So I'd have to call again.

What number do I need to give Wholesale Direct? I have a super long Hotel Confirmation # that is 9 digits - dash - 12 digits. Do they need the whole thing? Or another number? Thanks!

From everything I've read yes, you can charge anything.
Did you have to call in? How long did it take to approve?

I'm impatiently waiting for that one and Chase Hyatt card. DH is taking his car in for repairs tomorrow and I really want a new card for that bill (I have a feeling it might be a doozy, DH neglects his car)
ROFL because I just got my mom to pick-up the Barclaycard Arrival Plus because of a doozy auto-repair bill they have coming up! I'm slowly turning them to the dark-side of credit card travel bonuses...

Rule of thumb is only call in if you have a legit business AND you need the card ASAP (or you've already been denied and therefore have nothing to lose). Chase business recon is rumored to be brutal.

i suggest not using any of the insurances that come with it unless your actually using it for a legit business. ie car insurance, price protection, trip cancellation, etc.

FYI, some redditors confirm that Q4 freedom category is Target and Amazon.

Yes but if Chase asks (and so far they haven't asked anyone) you only use it for business stuff. The meals? meetings! Groceries? Snacks! Dentist charge? health benefit! Vet charge? Employee benefit! ANYTHING can be a business charge in the world of Creative Accounting and is totally fine as long as it doesn't carry over to your taxes imho ;)

Bummer, Target is so useless for RedCard holders! (unless you're looking to transfer points I guess for travel bookings to a CSP/CSR!)

heh, RedCard has always been useless to me since they got rid of the stacking to get an additional 5% off. Ink+ = 5% all year around. Was hoping for Drugstores now that i know how to MS.
Dont forget, Discover is also 5% back at target and amazon too.

Hey @calypso726, I know you're in Miami...I'm sending you positive vibes for Irma. Be safe.

Thank you @peel I appreciate the good vibes! I had some PMs from peeps here and from the Adventures by Disney board :grouphug: Gotta say I was very touched that some folks would reach out and let me know they were thinking of me and my family. You guys are awesome and restore my faith in humanity :goodvibes We are as prepared as can be and hoping she veers east and out to sea.

question, just hit my BCP spend(wow that was easy) and got a $200 credit...(took me a few minutes to figure out what it was lol) how do I keep track of cashback earned on this card? and how many points per dollar? Also hit my IHG spend and SM'ed reply to get the extra bonus points too so :cool1: hotels are set for me for a while

I applied over the weekend. I forget which day, Sunday maybe?
I called the 1800# and got the two week review message the last few days. Today when I called it said approved.

If I was denied I wasn't going to call, was just going to move on to something else.

I was denied and I called, but I quickly regretted it! In the end I was approved, but only after a grueling 45 minute interview, after which I still wasn't given a yes or no. I was certain I would be denied again, but was shocked to check the status line and find I was approved a few days later.

I download my spending for the year into an excel file and run a pivot table then add up all grocery spending.

Just completed our fingerprint session for TSA precheck. I'm pretty excited to get this. We only fly a couple of times a year and so never thought spending the money to get it was worthwhile, but with two cards that offer to cover the fee, free certainly made it worth it. :)
