I love credit cards so much!

Just realized I used my pink gold to pay for lunch at Bravo yesterday... when I had a Chase Bravo offer on my United card. Ugh.

Doc is reporting the Fidelity 2% card is offering a $100 signup. I got targeted for $150 earlier this week (by mail). If you have a Fidelity account and want this card, you might wait around for a targeted offer. I know of no referrals for this card.

It's issued by Elan.

DD received the Fidelity offer yesterday by snail mail. Because she just got the CFU we didn't look too closely, but the MSR was much higher than the CFU which would have been an issue for her. But the 2% beats the 1.5pts in the long run. We hadn't seen this one before so we did look it over before she tossed it. Now I'm thinking we should have kept it LOL.

1/5: Purchased $200 SW GC on MB Plat
1/6: Purchased $100 SW GC on Gold
1/9: Reimbursement credits posted on MB Plat and Gold

Am I the only one who worries it won't post? I did $200 worth of AA GCs last night on the first plat, but I want to see it credit before buying more. I would not be happy to get stuck with $800 worth of GCs that I have to actually pay for. This is the first time I don't have a planned use for any of them.

He has had his own Amex since 2015. At first he just had the Delta Platinum and I know that year he put $25,000 on it because I had him use it for everything because I was dumb and wanted the extra sky miles. In 2017 he got the SPG personal. By then the Delta personal was probably a thousand or so. On the SPG he met the spend and then plus the spend probably $8000. In 2018 he maybe had $1000 on it total until the upgrade which was $5000...since then probably another $1000. He got the Delta Biz Platinum in October 2017. Hard pull to start which was random and then (this was before the pop up) the bonus never would post until I threw a fit and went to twitter. Since then on that card it has been a couple thousand on top of spend. I guess I am just at the point I am a little peeved with Amex...this is all legitimate spending not MS or anything like that. He hasn’t cancelled and he has paid the fees. It is so frustrating but if they do not want to give him any more cards I do not really want to keep giving them the business. I tried to make an effort since the first pop up in November, and he has had maybe $2000 total on all 3 cards but apparently that is not enough. I almost think once you are on the pop up list you are not getting off.

I don't get this. With 3 cards over several years and that much spend? I'd be mad, too.

How long does it take for the 10x chase pay bonus from Shoprite to post? When I checked my URs I’m only showing 1x points.

it should post with the transaction... u went through chasepay right and scanned the barcode at the register?

I usually wait a few days until DPs trickle in at the start of the year before jumping in.

My CIC app went from 2 weeks to 7-10 days. :crazy2: What does that usually mean when it changes like that?

I'm hoping it's just verification. Do they do that when it's not your first Chase card (I have CSR, CIP, CIU)? I'm 4/24, last Chase app 2 months ago, total Chase credit limit 24% of income.

im not sure if this 100% works but ppl have mentioned to call the regular reps and asking the status of it instead of calling recon. You could give that a go and if they start asking you questions, hang up.

Yes! There was no special sign up other than that right?
yes, there shouldnt be anything special to sign up.

Hardly any snow at our house, but our power went out. The temperature was down to 64 before we left to go get lunch. Now we’re running to Staples to pick me up a $200 VGC and $100 Disney GC to finish out my staples offer. Hoping I can get DH to stop by BBY on the way back so I can buy a $100 Disney gc there with Swagbucks.

Just got the disney visa anyone know how long it usually takes to get the free giftcard after spending the required amount?

Any reason I shouldn’t buy the $200 VGC at Staples and split pay between my two Chase cards with 30% offer, then use VGC to buy discounted Disney GCs at BJs when they go on sale? I know it wouldn’t max the Chase offer but it would be 19% off plus hopefully 8% off at BJs. I do have 3 cards with Chase offer, so maybe split payment 3 ways?

I feel like mine came pretty fast - like within 3 weeks of hitting the spend. It shouldn't be too long.

only exception to this is if the cashier would let u or not...

Is this advice if I have a "business"? Wondering why I should hang up. We actually have a real business (rentals). Thanks! :)

$200 split 3 ways does max out the Chase offer. That would be $66.66 per card and $63.33 is the max for $19 back.

ETA - oops, I guess I misunderstood what you were saying about the 19% back. I see now. I would try to do 3 split payment.

There is also some scary and terrible stuff on reddit too. I only use it for churning and FIRE. It’s fairly unsupervised so there are some very dark and filthy subs out there.

Sometimes when I check a users comment history from r/churning I’m skeeved out by the other subs they frequent.

I had never even heard of Reddit until maybe two years ago and I was fascinated. 'What is this!?' I kept asking my DH (who was shaking his head the whole time) as I would stumble across a new sub. Then I realized for as many funny, random, normal subs there are equal parts filthy and foul ones . I clicked on one thinking it must have been a joke and :scared1:....it was not. I swore off the internet and humanity for a few days after that.

I wanted to love Morimoto but it was a total meh for me. Can’t recommend it with all the other options in DS. Last fall I wasn’t able to get an ADR via Disney for Wine Bar George but I got one with Open Table. Unfortunately Homecoming isn’t on Open Table but as a Hail Mary you could also try a cc concierge for a reservation if you have a card that includes that.

Yeah, Morimoto wasn't anything to write home about for me. We are lucky to have really great sushi places near us so the WDW joints pain me to pay 20+ bucks for something I can get at home for 10. It was also one of those situations that despite the place being entirely empty when we went they made us wait forever for a table. That always makes me cranky.

Uhhh, I am in the wrong business. Was just looking at nursing positions available and trying to psych myself up to apply to torture myself with 12 hour night shifts and holidays. Maybe I just need to flaunt my experience with newborns and pediatrics and pick up some babysitting gigs. :teacher:

Ugh, since I went to part time day shift 2 years ago the idea of working a night shift or even an extra day shift sounds like torture. :scared:. In fact I worked a stupid shift (midnight to noon--who does that!?) a few weeks back to help a friend and by the time I got to noon (26 hours of no sleep) I literally started crying and laughing simultaneously. I am not cut out for night shifts anymore. Haha!

@wendow, @disneymagicgirl, @Haley R you should give CBR a chance. I liked the rooms before, and since the renovations are done it is really nice. The gondola construction is not right there in your face but set off and the other construction is Riviera which is off enough that it is not impacting much.

Contemplating whether or not worth trying to call again with DH to upgrade Freedom to CSR after churning fail yesterday. I am almost thinking I just forget it for now. I want to have DH apply for the Hyatt this weekend but it is pretty much been a churning fail this weekend so wondering if maybe not. If he got the Hyatt he could use that for everything and at least be getting two Hyatt points when dining out...and meeting a minimum spend.
I’m keeping our king bed reservation there for 3 nights. I like trying new resorts so it’ll be a good one to try!

I just found out about reddit like last year. It always pops up on my Pinterest because I like looking at funny stuff. I don’t actively go on the site though. I’m slightly curious what this dark stuff is on there but I also don’t want to scar myself for life

So I still have that bot running on Twitter for the Marriott promo about Members Get It. Any idea how to delete it? Turn it off?

I just bought 2 at Staples. I'm holding out to see the BJs offer.
