Alright, here is my Chase Staples offer experience.

Purchased $50 gc on the 27th.
Posted on the 31st
1st - I can see the 30% offer listed as redeemed, and the amount shows in my total redeemed.

Im about 99% sure I added the 30g offer first.

I have to say I’m going to SM or *gasp* call if I get 10% only. Having both offers, I shouldn’t get the crappier one or have to wait until it expires to use the better one. I should be able to remove unused offers or get the better offer.

That was probably my problem. I added the 10% first since it was in my offers first. Now I know not to add until I am ready to use in case something better comes along.

Except if good offers disappear while you wait.

So my mom’s dog was hospitalized over Christmas, racking up some serious $$. Now he needs follow up with a cardiologist. I just got my mom onboard with the CF 5% bonus categories and now I hit her with “you could get a card with a $150 bonus for $500 spend, or a $500 bonus for $4k spend”. She replies “how long”. I tell her and we text back and forth about her bills and would $4k be possible (she is retired on SSI)
She texts back “Order me the $4k one”
I applied for her, instant approval

Sadly I don’t currently hold CSP so couldn’t refer her. (Maybe I should have just told her about CFU only)
Instead a DISer will be getting a nice surprise

We just went through a similar conversation . . . we had to take our new kitten to the emergency vet on Christmas Day, and he spent 5 days there. Plus he will need surgery (yes, we got a lemon - lol). We need a new card!!

Just got Delta Comfort+ for roundtrip, me and DH for our Vegas Aerosmith trip. Waited until today to buy that upgrade with my Amex credits.

Small rant: it's garbage you can't use gift cards for paid upgrades like that. I've got stacks of Delta gift cards still unused. So now I save my Amex credits for upgrades.

You don’t know his logon? I logon to both of our accounts via the app on my phone. DH doesn’t even know it exists.

Beautiful pictures! Love the baby penguins. Happy New Year and Happy Birthday! I hope I can celebrate my 50th more like you than how my sister celebrated her 50th a couple weeks ago. She kept sending us pics of this cool "playground for adults" her daughter and her went to as a birthday gift. Climbing walls, zip lines and lots of fun things. Until the warp wall. Womp womp. Two weeks with an external fixator and finally just able to have surgery. No work or driving for 3 months!!

Glad you were able to upgrade. Extra room on those longer flights is so nice. And yeah, I totally agree about the GCs. It makes no sense whatsoever.

Yep, us too. We found this one out the hard way. Tried to book seats in something other than basic economy and pay with the GCs and the system wouldn't accept them. Had to call AA, use the GCs for the base seat, and then pay cash for the upgrade. We still came out way ahead, since the seats were the bulk of the purchase and we were able to use all the GCs up, but it's bizarre that we couldn't use it for that. Plus it took over 30 mins on hold and then more time on the phone to straighten it all out. I had no idea about not being able to use them for international flights. Wow. At this point, why do they sell GCs at all? SMH

I booked a NCL cruise for this June back when Melissa from chase's old partner Loyalty Travel could book with points. Seems as though the cruise has dropped in price ( a lot ). What are the chances she can rebook and refund points still? I just sent her an email, anxiously awaiting her response!

I recall someone getting a refund in cash (on 1.5x CSR rate) because the old partner couldn't refund in points. This was maybe back around when the roll-out was just completed. Hopefully someone with first hand experience will chime in.

Spending my New Years planning 2020 travel.
Looking at 2 Cali trips maybe. Disneyland/Universal in June. Northern Cal in July/August?

For Cali peeps, would it be reasonable to fly into Oakland, hit Yosemite & Sequoia NP, and fly home from Burbank in a 7-8 day trip? How is weather then? I generally avoid August travel because I hate hot/humid but is NoCal that bad?

We just got back from a long weekend in NYC funded by churning! We used SW points for the flight and Marriott points for 3 nights at a hotel near the 9/11 memorial. We flew home yesterday to miss the NYE craziness!!

I need a little help with my SW companion pass strategy. I need the pass by May so I have a bit of time.

1. I have my SW business card in hand, I'll put my DVC dues on that today which will take care of most of the minimum spend.
2. I stupidly applied for the SW premier card on my flight not even thinking about that I already have it and hadn't cancelled it. I'm assuming (Hoping) to be denied.
3. My AF for the premier comes due today. If I pay the fee and keep the card for a month will the yearly bonus points count toward the points needed to earn the CP?
4. Should I wait 30 days to apply for the Plus card? How long after I cancel my premier card?

Thanks in advance! I'm super annoyed at myself for messing this up!

I bought our DL tickets through the UR portal a couple of weeks ago. Click on the Legoland tickets and then scroll down. It will say something like people also looked at these offers and Disneyland should be there!
